reading bloodmary fics and clenching my fists every time Simon calls Grace “Angel” bc he would not fucking say that but i only rented Iron Lung for 48 hours a month ago so i don’t have the screenshots to prove my point…

for those who didn’t see the movie or don’t remember, Simon is asked “do you believe in god?” and he says smth along the lines of “i don’t wanna talk about it” so, no, i don’t think he’d come out of the SM-13 more religious than when he went in bc who would come out of being harassed by a giant horrifying flesh eel while suffering with radiation poisoning thinking there was a god

(*cough* also it feels like the white savior trope mixed with exoticisation but nobody wants to talk about that so i’ll just argue that it’s not canon instead *cough cough*)
