Storm Reading Guide (2000s - 2010s)
Mother's Land
X.S.E is the successor to the X-treme X-men led by Storm. However, they're now an international task force dealing with mutant matters. As Storm leads her team across the planet to deal with threats, she has another calling to her homeland she hasnt had since childhood. Seeing the lands Ororo was worshipped on as Goddess of the Storm reminded her of purpose as a protector before she was an X-man. An event known as M Day left 98% of mutants depowered, causing an international power vacuum and mass genocide. This forces Storm to travel across her homeland to put an end to the anti-mutant violence at its source. Her return to Africa opens doors of the past, tackle conflicts in present, and leads to questions for her future.

Reign of Love and War.
As mutant-kind is facing extinction and are at the center stage of public opinion, Storm's role as mutant leader, X-man, and hero enters the political arena when she agrees to marry into the royal family of Wakanda. Her responsibilities to mutantkind, division in superhero community, and the rise of international and internal political tensions places Ororo's in a position where her words and actions will impact the world. Her reign as Queen begins with a royal progress across the Marvel Universe to being the face of an international resistance against the authoritarian regime created by fellow superheroes in Civil War.

Mutant-Queen
Storm roles overlap in a series of conflicts both external and internal. The X-men creates a new home off the shores of San Francisco as a sanctuary and defense of mutantdom. In Wakanda, extremist factions reach out of the shadows after a fatal accident within the royal family creates an era of change. This collection follows an eruption of tensions in Storm's worlds of mutants and royalty; her presence as an American-born Kenyan, mutant, goddess, royal, and X-man act as both a symbol of progress and destruction. The Future of Wakanda and Mutantkind call her to fight.

Survival
Storm stands with mutankind in a fight for survival. As enemies seem to be relentlessly plotting against Utopia, the nation and sanctuary for mutants and human kin, the X-men question their methods to make mutants safety and survival certain. The X-men experience an unprecedented ideological and literal split in ranks to pursue their own ways of guiding mutantkind. The Pheonix Force return for Hope Summers pits the X-men against the Avengers, who assumed jurisdiction and authority over Hope, who the X-men believe may be the key to reversing M-day. Meanwhile, Storm and her husband's loyalties are tested in the conflict which continues to escalate into irreversible harm.

Return of the Goddess
The effects of the battle against the Avengers has an irreversible impact on the X-men and mutantkind, especially Storm. Mutantkind is reborn at the cost of lives and morale. Storm's marriage is annulled and she is exiled from a throne she defended, protected, and ruled. The X-men are, again, split in half, this time over the death of Charles Xavier. In this collection, Storm's efforts to heal from the past adversity and protect the future places her back in leadership to resolve and strengthen the bonds with her fellow family: the X-men, she joins X-Force to battle new threats while healing old wounds, and reunites with foes and friends and family alike.

Note: This is only one part of a larger project. More coming soon.
Y’know the lil thing you drew where Jessie was tryin’ on her team rocket uniform? Remember how you gave her a lil chub? That made me but like. In a very good way!!! She’s one my favourite characters and I usually don’t see her with any chub!!!!
(Sorry I’m. Bad at talking but either way THANK YOU!!! IT MADE MY WEEK!!!!)
If you go through my rocketshipping tag you'll find a lot more of chubbier jessie! drew her like that in my fankid au~ honestly my favorite look for her
I'm sure she's a lovely person, but I don't like that Xochitl Gomez is playing America Chavez
America Chavez is an Afro Latino (specifically Puerto Rican), Xochitl is Mexican American, they erased half her identity
"It's not that big a deal" What if it was Miles Morales? Miles is an Afro Latino as well, Miles is half Puerto Rican too. What if they had Miles played by an actor significantly lighter than him
Edit: it's like when Dark skinned black characters are played by light skinned actresses/actors, like bae, it's not gonna work🤷🏽♀️

Your vicious and hateful comments in regards to the character of America Chavez and how the racist overtones within them tie to Xochitl Gomez are disgraceful, to say the least. If you had any sense of respect, you'd be ashamed of yourself. This forced crying of "racism" at every turn is embarrassing at best, reprehensible at worst. You are representative of the WORST the Marvel fandom has to offer. And please, don't embarrass yourself by arguing it. Recognize your insensitive and shameful behavior and make the necessary changes.
America Chavez with her Black mother who gave birth to her. Sorry
America Chavez kissing her Black girlfriend. Notice that they are both Black.
Also even if America’s casting didn’t erase the fact that she’s both Black and Latina, they’re still willfully infantalizing her by casting someone younger than she’s ever been portrayed as, probably to avoid showing she’s a lesbian in any detail. She didn’t come out until she was ~20. So homophobia wins as well.
Even if that weren’t the case there is nothing okay with the MCU’s depiction of Wanda. From her offensive depiction of mental illness and trauma, to the whitewashing, to Elizabeth Olsen’s racism, to the fact that they only acknowledge the fact that she is Romani when they can insert offensive stereotypes into her character, to changing the fact that she’s the child of two Holocaust survivors to making her volunteer for Hydra. Even if they cared about America in the slightest beyond a flashy plot device in the movie (which they clearly don’t) Wanda is one of the most racist depictions of a Romani character put to screen I’ve ever had the misfortune of seeing?
Throw the whole movie in the garbage, please.

Just saw a tiktok where Twitter au where Erica outs Will that girl would never out Will. Its so gross if you’re going to make angst content where Will gets outed at least use a character who will most likely do it. Like I know it’s fiction but leave her alone she’d never do that to Will
To all the annoying ass people who say Billy isn’t racist here’s ya proof that he is
So they could bring Allison Argent back from the dead after her body was in the ground and decomposing, but couldn't pay Arden Cho at LEAST equal to what her white co-stars were being paid🤨
