LOGAN: I never asked you to do any of that! We spoke because we had to, because we both had to do a project together. I didn't ask for this.

LOGAN: What do you want from me?! Why do you want me to admit it? What good will that do?

ALEXANDER: I didn't ask to care about you either. But I do. And I'm glad I do because you're a good person. You deserve good people around you.

ALEXANDER: If you tell me, I can do something about it. I can help you move out. We can get you a restraining order. Fuck Logan, you could press charges against him.

LOGAN: Fine, don't believe me. I really don't care.

LOGAN: Has it ever occurred to you that I am also a private person, and I don't want people meeting my boyfriend when I haven't known them for very long? I don't trust people, and I don't want anything happening that could ruin my relationship. We've been together for three years.

LOGAN: I don't /need/ help.

ALEXANDER: Are you serious right now?

ALEXANDER: I've gone out of my way to be kind to you, to befriend you. I've invited you into every aspect of my life, including /my/ home. I fought with my -- whatever Parker was, for you. And you don't trust me.

ALEXANDER: You fucking do need help. He's abusing you.

LOGAN: I'm defending him because he's not hurting me! I told the doctors the truth.

LOGAN: I've /told/ you, he's a private person. He doesn't like people in his house he doesn't know and I think that's fair. He works, Alex, people have to /work/. And because I can't get a job, he has to pay for both of us.

ALEXANDER: I don't believe you.

ALEXANDER: And doesn't your boyfriend ever want to meet your friends? We are friends right? I fucking know people have to work Logan; it might surprise you to hear this from the son of a rich businessman but I have to work a job too. But he can't be working all the time. This isn't adding up anymore. I've suspected something hasn't been right for weeks and this proves it.

ALEXANDER: I can help you.

LOGAN: We don't have insurance, Alex, and in case you haven't noticed, we don't exactly have a lot of money! He's first aid trained, he patched me up as best as he could. But we're not all sons of rich businessmen, you know. Not all of us can afford healthcare.

UNSENT: I can't believe you actually just threw that in my face as if I have ever made money something between us.

ALEXANDER: Logan, you had fucking broken bones. That needs more than first aid training. Are you kidding me? I can't believe you're defending him.

ALEXANDER: Why have I never been allowed to meet him? Why can't I ever come over to your house? Why doesn't he drive you anywhere, ever?

LOGAN: Matthew is not hurting me.

ALEXANDER: Then why the fuck did he not take you to hospital?

ALEXANDER: I have a hundred other questions but that really sums it up. What kind of person sees you in that state and doesn't do something about it? The kind of person that did it and doesn't want to be caught.

LOGAN: Everyone has scars, Alex. I'm clumsy, you know this. The first time I met you, I dropped a book because you said /hello/ to me. If you heard them ask that, then you also heard me reply with no, no one is hurting me.

ALEXANDER: Except I know you. I know more about you than they do so I know you weren't telling the truth. It all adds up Lo. Matthew's hurting you.

ALEXANDER: I overheard the doctors talking to you.

LOGAN: Yeah, they told me to just take it easy and get as much rest as possible. I should be fine to come back to class next week.

ALEXANDER: No Logan. I heard what they said about previous injuries. Scars. Bones that hadn't healed quite right. I heard them ask you if someone was hurting you.

TEXT 📲 LOGAN

ALEXANDER: I overheard the doctors talking to you.

[smythings]

TEXT 📲 LOGAN

Logan: Don't! You can't, Alex, I'm still sick!

Alexander: Lo, it's been almost a week. I'm worried and Im coming over.

[smythings]

TEXT 📲 LOGAN

[ A FULL DAY LATER ]

Logan: I'm fine, Alex. You don't need to worry. I'm getting better.

Alexander: I'm coming over.

[smythings]

TEXT 📲 LOGAN

Alexander: That doesn't sound like a virus Logan.

Logan: If I get worse, I'll go see a doctor, okay?

Alexander: You better. I'll drive you if you need a ride.

(TWO DAYS LATER)

Alexander: Look, I'm trying really hard not to overreact but I'm legitimately worried about you right now. Are you okay?

TEXT 📲 LOGAN

Logan: Yeah, that's probably what did it.

Logan: Um... I doubt it. I'm really not feeling too great. It may be a couple of weeks, I don't know...

Alexander: That doesn't sound like a virus Logan.

[smythings]

TEXT 📲 LOGAN

Logan: Yeah, it did. Probably because I was out in the rain or something, I don't know.

Logan: Thank you, Alex.

Alexander: Of course, yeah.I forgot you were stuck in the rain and in those wet clothes.

Alexander: Hopefully I'll see you tomorrow?

Logan: A little. I was able to get out of bed today for a little while so I guess that's something.

Logan: Thank you, Alex. You didn't have to do that.

Alexander: Did it just come on all of a sudden? You were fine when I dropped you off.

Alexander: Of course I did. You're my friend.

Logan: It's probably just a virus, I'm okay. Stop worrying.

Alexander: You know I'm a worrier.
