you're taking care of your friends plants while they're gone on a trip, and you're supposed to feed their big carnivorous plant. they have an artificial food that gives the plant the nutrients that prey would in the wild, and for a few days that's what you feed it, but seeing it devour such large amounts of food makes you curious. you look it up, and these plants can indeed eat a whole person, even though it's extremely rare. the thought doesn't leave your mind the whole week, you can't stop thinking about feeding yourself to it in place of the easily accessible plant food you already have. it would be completely meaningless, you'd be gone, melted into plant nutrients with zero fanfare, the thought makes your mind fuzzy. you decide that the day before your friend comes home, you're gonna do it, you're going to get in. you write a note to your friend, leave a photo, and walk up to the plant. it smells so sweet, it feels intoxicating, you're falling for the same trap that brainless, instinct driven animals do.

cautiously, completely red in the face, you reach your hand out to it's feelers, activating the trigger for the trap you're willingly walking into. it quickly reaches out, snapping itself around you and pulling you up and into the chamber full of sickly sweet acid. immediately acid seeps through the tight, almost crushing walls. digestion feels incredible, your whole body is being coated with hot acid that tingles and numbs your skin, sedating you into a thoughtless bliss. the warmth of your skin melting, mixing with the rest of you, becoming slurry that the plant will absorb before anyone comes to find you. you completely lose the ability to think, the scent, the sensation, it overtakes you. you drift into nothingness, becoming nothing but a plants food for the day.

your friend comes home, checks on the plants and finds the last few scraps of clothing it couldn't digest. they look around, trying to find anything that could help them understand what happened to their friend, but all they find is a note that says "fed your plant! 💕"
