WELCOME TO THE BETTER UNDERRATED TMNT COMPETITION!!
*note: this comp is still a work in progress, things are subject to change. thank you for your patience!
this TMNT au comp is anti hate. if you are exposed as anti-queer, racist, ableist, etc. then you will be disqualified and potentially blocked depending on the offense.
the concept is simple! this is a comp for underrated TMNT aus, however we have added an extra twist!
there will be 4 themed teams pit against each other! you will be initially sorted into these based on how much attention your TMNT au gets but if one would like you can DM me to switch teams at any time up until 14 days before the game officially starts, which for this year means you will be unable to switch teams by September 10th, that means the comp officially starts on September 24th, I repeat:

so, how does The Better Underrated TMNT Comp actually work?
1. you will apply to join The Better Underrated TMNT Comp via google form (emails not recorded)
2. you will be sorted into 1 of 4 teams based on the average number of likes across 10-15 of your own posts of your own au
team 1 requirements: average of 2000 likes - 1500 likes
team 2 requirements: average of 1500 likes - 1000 likes
team 3 requirements: average of 1000 likes - 500 likes
team 4 requirements: average of 500 likes or less
as mentioned before each of these teams will have themes each year, ex: team 1 is bugs, team 2 is fish, etc. or team 1 is punk, team 2 in Bohemian, etc.
3. switch teams! you will be allowed to switch teams until the designated date. meaning if you qualify for team 1 but for one reason or another you want to be on team 4 you can switch to team 4 by DMing me, then if you change your mind and want to be on team 2 instead you can DM me again and switch teams again until the designated date.
4. start the game! these four teams will be pitted against each other, like this:
this chart may seem confusing so we'll walk you through it.
4 teams and their players, each team has 2 players in this example.
each of these players are pit against each other. one should point out that test player riley (one of the red team's players) and test player max (one of purple teams players) are pit against each other, they were just moved above and out of the way of everything else.
once winners are chosen via voting on a poll posted right here on this blog they will be pit against each other again.
winners are chosen again until we have a winner.
9. awards are given out! yes, awards, plural. of course the winner gets plenty of praise but there are other awards as well! such as: which team got the most wins, which two AUs brought in the most votes in a poll, which AU(s) grew the most over the course of the comp, etc.
10. end of comp until next year, occasional posts will be made on this blog until then. such as magmas, announcements, etc.
