Stepping outside of the Hospital, Cameron pocketed his phone and glanced around, searching for Devon’s car. When Devon pulled up, Cam grinned from ear to ear, opening the door once the car slowed and sliding into the passenger seat. “Howdy stranger. Sorry about the scrubs and all, I probably smell like a hospital. But, I’m really excited to be going out with you tonight. There’s a double feature at the drive-in.” His eyes flickered over to Devon, and he took them in as casually as possible before turning his attention to the road. “Thank you, for this. And for offering to let me stay tonight.” @snowburyroller
Devon had stopped texting because he was driving, and speech to text through his car only got him so far when he needed to pay attention to the busy roads as he got close to the hospital. Seeing Cameron standing outside waiting, he pulled up as close as he could get and stopped, making sure the doors were unlocked. With the other man inside, he smiled, looking at Devon as casually as possible too. “You’re okay,” he replied with a soft chuckle. “I’ve got a change of clothes in the back if it really bothers you, but it doesn’t bother me. I’m excited about the drive-ins, I really like it there. Especially with you.” His lips pulled into a soft smile and then he turned to look at the road ahead of him, moving out of park so that he could start heading out towards the outdoor theatre. “I missed you.” He licked his lips. “You don’t have to thank me, I like spending time with you. You don’t have to sleep on the couch either, if you don’t want to. I have plenty of room in my bedroom. I’m comfortable with you, you could stay in my bed if you wanted.”
