Day 9 has me talking about #trial&error . Making candles I’m constantly checking rechecking tweaking and trying. There we have two candles burning with different type wicks. One you can see has caused a large flame and a lot of wax leakage. The other one is burning in a more controlled way with an expected amount of wax leakage. Why ‘Snowdrop Candles’. I chose this because Jen’s Candles was taken. When I was a wee girl my friends and I used to play ball on our street, an old lady used to shout at us for being too loud or the ball hitting her garden. One day I thought to make her a card to cheer her up apologising for the noise and balls. I drew snowdrops in her garden. The next day she came round to my house with a bunch of snowdrops as a thank you. I had never had flowers given to me before and it to me was the most special thing ever. I later found out she was grumpy as she was caring for her terminally ill husband in the house. From that day on snowdrops have been special to me.
