Silly little idea I had, realizing I could use the grid overlay function in pencil 2d would have made this a LOT better. Also, learned something about timing and spacing of frames and how I draw every little frame. Learning!

This crossover immediately came to mind upon first watch, I just hadn't had the time or motivation to finish until now. A surprisingly well-matched trio!

To expand on @comically-obsessed's Victorian Nox headcanon post, I realized that when Nox was turned into a key, milk chocolate was not widely available and he had probably not tasted any until Chase's King Bar. Trusting Punko's fashion history knowledge, and judging by the sleeves and skirt shape of the background characters, I would put this moment at the end of the Bustle Eras, or about 1890.

Milk chocolate had only been invented in Switzerland by Daniel Peter in 1875 and was not mainstream in America until the early 1900s. if Nox was living in America and not Europe, (as I'm assuming,) he would have probably only been exposed to dark chocolate 'eating bars' or tablets meant for making hot cocoa. Any chocolate he would have seen would have probably looked like this or what's behind the girls in this postcard:

(I do not know what the horror is supposed to be. Maybe Nox stole their wares while they weren't looking.)

So yeah, it took them a while to figure out how to mix milk and oily cocoa butter properly. (: Not to mention processed foods of his day were often mixed with any type of toxic, inedible fillers and preservatives. So I can imagine when Nox finally ate chocolate again in Beach Boys, that face wasn't just from 'my, it's been a while!' but 'this is my favorite food but somehow 1000% BETTER IN EVERY DISCERNIBLE WAY'

Poor Nox, if only he had been from the early 1900s he would have had milk chocolate in his lifetime. He could have gotten into the Milton Hershey Industrial School for orphans if he was from central Pennsylvania, even. Also in light of Episode 24, heard what a movie is maybe lol.
