I will always reblog this..This brings back great memories of teaching my kids to dive. They learned on a stick shift, the kids car, then when they were good drivers, we let them take my wife's car, an automatic..I taught them how to ride motorcycles, how to sail, and dive tractors..They all hated it, but also loved it..my daughter was helping her husband put in a transmission into the truck he is building for their boys to learn to drive and have as a kids truck..she sent me a text and pic of her all greasy, thanking me for teaching her..with a big smile on her face..

Look at the smile on the boy's face when he says," I'm driving " ...

Priceless!!

On the meandering journey of life, we go through highs and lows, each of us have our story. Some have a smooth path, Others have no path, and must fight through the thicket and briar to find a way. Some are blessed with a loving family and strong healthy relationships, others live with fear and anger, hatred and cruelty, and some have lost all, have nothing, and no one.

I do not know the smooth path.. my path has had many obstacles to overcome.

None of us are perfect, we fail, we make bad choices, but most of us keep trying, keep getting back up, and sometimes, we make a good choice, and that leads to better choices, and a better path.

Three weeks ago, after 37 years with the same company, my job was eliminated, and I was walked out. My low...

For 50 yrs I have worked, I have never Not had a job. I often had multiple jobs. But to be let go was a first for me.

Today I got two pieces of good news, I got a job doing something I want to do, not have to do, and our retirement funds have enough for me to retire along with my wife. My high..

I have accepted the job, as I still have gas in the tank..I will retire in a few years, but first I have to get back up, and keep going..it's all I know.
