Child me was beyond spoiled when I sat down to play my first video game ever and it just so happened to be the Ocarina of Time.

The fact that it’s getting a remake and a new generation will get to meet these unforgettable characters makes me so so happy I want to cry 🥹

no idea how everyone is pumping out their OoT artworks so quick the trailer dropped less than 24 hours ago 😭 anyway here’s all I’ve come up with so far I’ll show the finished piece in 2-3 business days MINIMUM depending if I cook or not idk

My last mermay illustration for the year (probably). This is a redraw of one of my illustrations from two years ago, you can see a side by side below the cut :)

My approach to art has definitely evolved over the years and one of the biggest attitude shifts has been to using line art. I used to be so deathly afraid of line art it always felt like such a complicated and finicky thing to get right. But that all changed when I started watching anime and reading manga a lot more. I started to appreciate just how expressive and full of life an inked illustration could be. Now it’s the part of drawing I enjoy most 😅
