XIII-2/early twenties Estelle sketches. Not sure if I want her to wear the long- or short-sleeve jacket... I'll just draw her in both, depending on the season I guess lol.

She hasn't cut her hair in a while.

Honestly, this is why I prefer drawing older Estelle… she can wear whatever she wants. There’s no ‘uniform’ in my mind.

In the two years Snow goes traipsing off on his stupid half-baked idea, Estelle and Serah grow a lot closer. 💜💗 Enough to share a bed for comfort and Etro pitying Estelle enough to give her limited time traveling powers to go chase after her.

It’s awkward post-LR. You have Estelle and Snow’s relationship that’s in a state of limbo, because they have not properly ended it. Serah’s trying to process how everyone (and herself) have changed since she’s last seen them.

Estelle has seemingly disappeared. The wedding’s in the works. When Estelle reappears (unintentionally), they are both upset with her. And her reaction is Why are you mad at Me? You got what you Wanted.

Just casually acts as if her centuries-long relationship meant nothing to her and like she did not try to manipulate and trap and end the world for the woman she loved.

Rewatching XIII cutscenes on YT RN and you can see how Sazh speaks to Lightning — telling her it’s a mercy to kill Serah, there’s no way to defy fate — reflects on how he’s already internalized that it’s too late for him to save Dajh or return him to being human. Even if he did solve his Focus, Dajh would still remain a slave to fal’Cie.
