Headcanon: Regenerating Clothing

As can be seen during the deaths of Lust and Envy, despite their entire bodies being completely scorched to ashes, their clothing returns fully intact when they regenerate their beings. This is due to them wearing unique articles of clothing created by the Father that were specifically intended to be durable in extreme combat situations, as the Father knew they would all often be in such situations. The clothes themselves are not invulnerable, they were simply transmuted by the Father to connect to the Homunculi’s regenerative abilities when worn, and therefore may be restored so long as the Homunculous possesses enough power to regenerate properly. Should these clothes be removed and then damaged, they will not mend themselves. Likewise, any other clothes worn by the Homunculi will not regenerate.

Headcanon: Immobilization Points

All Homunculi, save for those possessing containers, namely Pride and the Father himself, and those existing within the body of a human, such as Wrath and Greed once he returned in Ling’s body, have immobilization points. These points are located in different places for each Homunculous, but they are all recognizable as red circles connected by narrow lines. The reason they do not exist on Homunculi in human bodies is due to the genetic design being different, and therefore not having been created to bear the same susceptibility. Homunculi in possession of containers do not have them as the core of their being is not harnessed to their physical form.

The immobilization points are activated by being penetrated or subjected to intense pressure, and once they have been activated, the section of muscles in the given area will be paralyzed. Therefore, once one has been successfully overtaken, it becomes notably easier to incapacitate the remaining points. All Homunculi are still capable of speech and minor movement even when fully locked down, though the extent of this depends on the exact location of their immobilization points.  Likewise, if immobilized for an extended period of time and unhindered by further means of restraint, the muscles, which naturally clench up when the points are activated, are given time to relax. It then becomes possible for a Homunculous to shimmy and chivvy their way out of the bonds.

Although the Father placed great faith in his children’s loyalty, he created them with the immobilization points to grant himself an additional means of control over them, both to exert his own sense of authority, and also because he had created a number of exceptionally powerful beings. Therefore, though he did not doubt their loyalty, he did intend to maintain an essence of superiority and advantage.

As they were created to be points of vulnerability, a Homunculi’s immobilization points are quite sensitive to the touch, and are prone to aching and soreness, as tension easily builds up in the over exposed muscles, and therefore physically stimulating them is easily unpleasant or most alleviating.
