Guess who lost a half hour of progreeeess? 😭 Why did it have to be after I finished the ice puzzle ha ha ha

On that note, I played a half hour of Forbidden Memories and remembered that is truly a game for masochists. How did I get far as a kid?

Why is it every PS1 game I’m nostalgic for and want to play again a total pain in the ass? :P Digimon World 2 and Yugioh Forbidden Memories are both archaic slogs. But I have good memories.

Thinking about Shining Force again for some reason, so I started that up again for kicks. I gotta say, Runefaust is a cool name for the antagonist kingdom, but it’s a little odd when the wider world is called Rune. In my memory, I couldn’t remember which is which. All the more confusing when Runefaust knights are called Rune knights. Not even a translation issue, because they’re called that in Japanese too. I assume it’s an abbreviation, because otherwise all of us are knights of Rune, right? Not really a big deal, just kind of funny.

I haven’t really updated this in a while. I have lots of thoughts about Pikmin 4 and DK64. I’ll write those soon.

I got my first A rank! After my worst run ever, I did my best. Go figure. I’m happy to be getting the hang of this more.

I super appreciate how Umamusume lets you check the outcomes every time you’re presented a choice. I’d probably be frustrated and checking a guide constantly otherwise, and it’s still an optional feature for those who’d rather roleplay without knowing ahead of time, everybody wins.

Looking into the actual horses in Umamusume is messing me up regarding their relationships. I assumed all the Mejiros were sisters. Turns out Ryan is McQueen’s father? And then my whole sense of generations is screwed up, because what do you mean McQueen is Gold Ship’s grandfather? Fascinating.

Finished my second career run yaaay! I was so worried at first. I never “lost” any races, but I placed 2nd-5th in a bunch of required ones early on. I thought I screwed up royally, but after King Halo decided to change her goals, she became a beast at the shorter races.

I feel like I better understand the support cards and skills than in my first play through, and I’m happy with what I picked, but apparently it’s not advised to pick a bunch of different support card types. I thought it would be good to have a jack of all trades approach, and I cleared the URA Finale, so I guess it worked out this time. But I did wish I had more speed. I’ll take it into consideration for the next run.
