I won’t necessarily delete my Tumblr, because hopefully some of the unique culture, humor, and friendships we have on here will be worth sticking around for.

However, starting late tonight, I’ll be logging off for a week. It would be nice if others joined in the effort. I know everyone and their dog is doing the “log off for a day” thing, but realistically, they’re planning for that, and realistically, it’s Tumblr, the site is going to be unstable for a day or three anyway any time they make a change. Stay off for a week. Let that traffic drop. Don’t open the app, don’t pull it up on your browser. Spread the word. Reblog this, or just tell your friends “Hey, we can live without this dying social media platform for a week.”

Empty or pause your queue and make your last post a “Places to find me…” thing, so anyone who missed the memo can hit you up elsewhere. Connect outside Tumblr. Make and join community Discords, follow each other on Twitter, FurAffinity, whatever.

I’ll probably come back around the evening of the 22nd, maybe the 23rd or 24th. Who knows.
