RYKER:
Catching the sight of someoneâs gaze out of his peripheral vision, Ryker turned to address them. âHey, will you do me a favor and just take a big step to your right?â His eyes squinted tightly closed. âI lost my sunglasses and the sun is just bright enough to hurt my poor retinas. I also lost a bet to a twelve-year-old on who could look at the sun the longest so if you could refrain from kicking a man while heâs down, thatâd be just super.â
âAre you for real right now?â Sofia asked, eyebrows raised high on her forehead. She took the requested big step to the right, but only to get a better look at him. âAnd now Iâm supposed to be your sunglasses or what? I mean, who even takes on such a bet? Thatâs like betting with a giraffe on who has the longer neck.â
APHRODITE:
Sofiaâs body was just a writhing mess on the bed, legs pressing together slightly as Aphroditeâs fingers kept thrusting into her despite how sensitive she was as she rode out her orgasm. The moans and curses leaving her lips were just a jumbled mess of sounds by now, and she hardly registered what Tee was saying as she slowly came down from her high. Her chest was heaving with the ragged breaths she took, her eyes opening slowly to look down at the brunette with a satisfied, yet lazy grin on her lips. âI wouldnât mind that. You can gladly eat me out like that every day,â she cooed, voice a little hoarse. Her body winced slightly at every touch to her now even more sensitive parts, fingers untangling from her hair and the sheets as Tee moved up to hover over her. âMhm, very much.â Pulling her down for a quick kiss, Sofia then took the little strength she had left to turn them around, straddling Aphroditeâs hips. While she could be a very selfless lover, after the orgasm sheâd just experienced, she felt the need to now explore the brunetteâs body in return. Grinning down at the other, she licked her lips, throwing her hair over her shoulders. âI think... after all that hard work you deserve a little bit of relaxation,â she proposed, hands slowly sliding down along her chest. âHow would you like that?â
CARMEN:
Turning fully around, the smile is immediate when she sees her younger sister Sofia. âThank you.â She grins with a faint laugh, knowing her greeting was less than warm. âWell, weâve never been the type for hugs and kisses, but you if you want to start nowâŠâ Carmen trails off, holding out her arms and moving her hands for the younger Illescas to come forward for the embrace. âI know, right?â The brunette cockily replies, which is Carmenâs way of saying thank you for the compliment. âDonât look too bad yourself. Guessing youâre here for the booze and not to see me?â Not at all offended, she moved back to the bar to make Sofia a drink.Â
âI donât need hugs and kisses, so Iâm fine.â Despite that, she decided to take the invitation after a moment of hesitation, offering a quick hug to her sister. âNot surprising, we share the same amazing genes,â she chuckled, brushing wavy curls out of her eyes as she followed Carmen over to the bar with slow steps. âWhat can I see? Free booze from you just makes it extra special,â she chuckled, leaning against the bar with a smirk. âAre you excited? Iâve heard a lot of people are planning to come.â

TEE: LOL please, at least talk it up and say you did something fun! or /someone/ fun.
TEE: what's wrong with showing off what you have? everyone would be grateful
SOFIA: i do something fun or someone fun all the time, you should assume that right away.
SOFIA: i don't want to be the reason for heart attacks you know
SOFIA: that's a lot of paper work
CARMEN:
It was the calm before the storm. At least thatâs how Carmen Illescas viewed it. Not only was it Saturday night but it was St. Patrickâs day as well, which meant her night would be crazier than normal and the expectations were even higher. Venue rented and decorated, caterers milling around in the kitchen and bar fully stocked meant Carmen could finally focus on what mattersâŠherself. She didnât have anytime to head home for a change, so decided to turn to the empty bar into her personal dressing room. âYouâre a few hours too early.â Carmen states, hearing the door open and footsteps to follow. Shimmying into her dress, she looks over her shoulder at the person. âWell, since youâre here. How about you make yourself useful and zip me up?
To Sofia, it hardly mattered that it was St. Patrickâs day. It was Saturday and that meant she was planning to get drunk. The only plus point about this was that she had more options to choose from, but she knew she had to show up at Carmenâs thing for sure. She knew she was a little early, but she did not care. She was aiming for free alcohol and a bit of fun. âThatâs not the kind of excited greeting I was expecting from you,â she stated as she ventured inside, heels clicking against the floor as she moved towards her sister. âNice dress choice,â she added as she stopped behind Carmen to pull up the zipper of her dress.

TEE: shit, sofia. check your phone, maybe you have pics of what you did?
TEE: or you can skip the clothes and just come over in nothing and then you can shower here?
SOFIA: knowing myself, i got drunk on the couch and passed out before midnight
SOFIA: and show all of this town my great boobs? tempting, but no. i'll put on clothes and come over to shower with you
BAJA:
âNot always⊠And as long as you donât try to jump, rob, or stab me, Iâll continue to be nice.â No, she wasnât just saying this because she knew who the woman was. Baja would have said it to anyone, but for some reason she had a hunch this woman didnât exactly follow the rules of the name. Not that she minded, of course. A smile formed on her lips before she grabbed her purse and headed around the front counter. âWell, since Iâm sure. We could probably get going if you want?â
âLucky for you, none of that was on my to-do list for tonight, so you should be good.â Sofia didnât care whether the woman was aware who she was or said it just like that -- these days in New Orleans, it seemed you had to be careful with everyone. âPerfect. You get out of here, I get home, if that isnât a win win situation.â Moving back to the door sheâd came through, she stepped out onto the street with a happy sigh. âI hope your taste in music is better than that of most cab drivers.â
LYNLEY:
Lynley had to bite her tongue, taking the moment of silence to moisten her lips. The last thing she needed this afternoon was to deal with an attitude that was completely unnecessary. âYou are right, this town is one that tends to over reactâ, her voice too sweet and too kind as she returned to her feet, sheets of music safely in her grasp. âSorry again, but seeing the lack of injuries on either of us I am going to call this an accident.â
Sofiaâs eyebrows slowly lifted on her forehead as she tried to decipher whether the woman meant she was overreacting. Which she surely was, but she did not need to hear that. âYeah, Iâd watch my feet or you mind end up with a knife in your back for stumbling into the right person.â Lifting her hands up as if to show her own innocence, she then added with a smirk, âbut for today, you got lucky.â

TEE: you're hungover? so you went out last night and didn't invite me? i'm offended
TEE: you should come over later, i need to see you.
SOFIA: i'm not even sure if i went out last night
SOFIA: i remember nothing
SOFIA: okay, just let me get in the shower and find some clothes, then i'm all yours.
JONNY:
ââHey, Iâm just preparing myself for the inevitable. I thought youâd be doing the same, given everything thatâs happened in the past.â Jonny knew the rumours, especially the ones surrounding the womanâs father, hell, even her brothers. âArenât you ever scared?â
âInevitable? Why would that be inevitable?â Sofia knew she probably had more reason to fear their death than him, seeing as there were probably plenty of people wishing her dead. But fear was not in the Illescasâ book. âNo, Iâm not. I have no reason to be.â
BAJA:
âI usually lock my door on the way out.â She admitted, after giving a brief nod to the woman at her thank you. âHey⊠if youâre looking to catch a ride somewhere, I could always take you?â Baja offered with a shrug, a small smile gracing her lips. âIâll be on my way out in no time, anyway. Plus, that way you donât have to pay.â
Her fingers had already started typing numbers as the otherâs offer caused her to stop. Sofia slowly lifted her head to look at her, wondering why on earth sheâd offer that. âSo youâre pretty and nice. How unfairâ, she said teasingly, more so to stall for herself. Money wasnât the problem, but she fucking hated cabs. âOkay, if youâre sure. I wonât say no.â

TEE: where have you been?
TEE: not avoiding me are you? đ
SOFIA: idek what day it is
SOFIA: i have a hangover
SOFIA: i could never avoid you tho đ
LYNLEY:
Really, it was all her fault and Lynley knew it. She should of picked up her head, she shouldnât of hand both headphones in, and she should of known that gracefulness was never something she possessed. âIâm so sorry, I tend to be an utter klutz every moment of the dayâ, she laughed, always one for self depreciation. Lynley picked up the scattered sheet music around their feet, shaking her head at herself. âAt least Iâm not a linebacker that could of caused some serious damage.â
Sofia wasnât a fan of body contact when she didnât ask for it, so someone running into her without her realizing she was about to collide with someone annoyed her to no ends. âWell fuck, you really could have looked where you were going anyway,â she groaned, bending down to pick up the purse sheâd dropped. At least it wasnât her phone. âSome people in this town might not take it all that well if you run into them, you know.â
