“Another Day to Be Happy”

Idk you guys consider this a way for me to say goodbye to my man Valko :’)

Valko was the best boyfriend you’d ever had.

Attentive.

Playful.

Gentle.

He never forgot anniversaries, always texted you when he got home, memorized your coffee order, kissed your forehead whenever he thought you looked tired.

He never raised his voice. Never made you question how much he loved you.

He never did anything wrong.

…Except when he hid the fact that he was dying.

Not because he didn’t trust you. Not because he wanted to lie.

Because he couldn’t bear watching you grieve someone who was still alive.

So he smiled through the pain. Took medication when you weren’t looking. Excused the weight loss as stress, the exhaustion as overwork, the coughing as a stubborn cold.

By the time you discovered the truth, the doctors had stopped talking about treatment and started talking about comfort.

You only had weeks left with the man who had planned an entire future with you.
