Stepping Stone Path 🌼

I needed a path for my island so I spent the last few hours making this stepping stone path! I really love how it turned out so I wanted to share. ✨

The path consists out of 6 parts: Two main tiles and four edge tiles. With the edge tiles you are able to create smooth looking curves and diagonal paths! And if you place the two main tiles alternatively, the path gets a more random look.

One wide paths I made for my Spirited Away themed town.  Corners are in my Two Wide path set. These are a sandy path with worn square slate borders.  Would also look good in a tropical, beach, or desert town. <3

I felt inspired to make a water pattern after seeing one on Ruki’s ACNL blog, Merci (Japanese), but wanted to do it from scratch. I think Ruki’s is far better, but the Benchton version is still kind of refreshing and people seemed to like it!

It’s important to remember that this set of patterns does not have edges on the bottom or to the right—that’s because it’s meant to look sort of 3D. It’s best used with a path on all edges of the water (like the top example), but it still doesn’t look too terrible when flush against naked grass or stone (bottom examples).

Feel free to use in your town/game however you’d like!
