The Vytal Festival was in full swing and so far, team JSTC had been doing fantastic. The training he’d put them through working wonders on letting them fly by the first round of the tournament. Now it was a matter of deciding who would be a part of the doubles.
It was a lively debate the four were having via scroll as he hurried his way back to his dorm, intent on making his points in person. Yet, James had come around the building’s corner fast with his attention still devoted to his scroll, so he blamed himself entirely for crashing headfirst into the man, both of them spiraling to the ground.
Back in the snow and arms full of a gangly, cursing teen, James blinked up at the sky, pausing for a moment to wonder how he found himself in these situations. When it became apparent that the man on top of him was having zero luck righting himself between his own long limbs and the slippery ice and snow on the ground, James sat up, grabbing the man’s arms to help stabilize him enough to gain his footing. Then, he easily leveraged himself up, far too used to the slippery ground of Atlas.
What in the world was he wearing? His natural civility prevented him from saying it aloud, but it was the first thing he thought when he took an actual look at the man. Though, despite his best efforts, the twitch of his lips to restrain a chuckle, and the way his eyes scanned the bright red monstrosity probably said all that words couldn’t. “Apologies. I wasn’t looking where I was going. Are you alright?”
Qrow suddenly found himself standing. He also suddenly found himself facing another man about his age. He looked kind of familiar, but Qrow couldn’t quite place him; Not when he was working hard to remove the embarrassed blush from his face. He can see the other man looking over his coat like the big eye sore it was. Ugh.
“Thanks. I’m fine.” He says. And it wasn’t like it was his fault. Qrow’s semblance could be a bitch sometimes; He had no doubt this was one of said times. He tugs on the hood of the coat, grimacing as he looks to the other man, “It’s just the coat. I couldn’t ... see...” He sighs. He had to get this thing off. It was going to become a hazard. Summer would just have to forgive him.
Qrow tries to take a step away, the conversation apparently over; he stumbles on the ice, barely catching himself. Probably making himself look like a fool for the upteenth time that day. It was official. He hates the ice and snow.
