(Note: while this is traditionally how each society names their children, it's not forced on any of them. if they've moved societies they are welcome to keep their old name)
They names their children after their most prominent personality trait or their best skill. While they don't always need to have positive meanings, they cannot legally name a child something demeaning (i.e. stupid, weak, violent, etc). Some names may skirt the line of what's allowed (i.e. rude, unruly, angry, etc), but the parents must submit their chosen names for approval and if it's deemed too cruel for a child, the parents might even be considered negligent and have them taken away. Mustel Society leans heavily towards the personality names and only rarely names based on skill.
As the Society that looks up to the Old Ones the most, they've adopted human names. They work primarily with Ancient Greek names (i.e. Athena, Phoebe, Leander, etc), but occasionally branch out. They also prefer not to name their children after others, waiting until the person they know has passed for them to use it again. Very rarely will a child run into someone with the same name as them
Their names consistent primarily of color-based things (i.e. Ruddy, Seafoam, Iridescent, etc.) and very rarely they might choose outright colors (Red, Green, Silver, etc). It doesn't always have to be a color that fits them, many families like to choose a theme (i.e. all names for Red, all names for cool colors, etc.)
Similarly to the Mustel Society, their names denote either personality or skill, but lean heavily towards skills (i.e. Quick, Hunter, Bright). Sometimes a family might choose to name their kid for a skill they'd like them to have, rather than one they already possess.
While they primarily name their children after textures (i.e. Smooth, Coarse, Feathery), they do occasionally take after the Melin Society and choose color names. They are a Society that prioritizes family and so they love to name their children after other family members and cherished friends. This also results in a lot of random nicknames to help differentiate the family members that share the same name.
