Hello sleeping Niel,

Sometimes all I really want to do is sit beside you. I want to watch cheesy and crappy movies with you, and we will laugh at them together. I want to plan things with you, things we'll never do, but for some reason just planning them with you is fine with me. I want to talk to you about everything and anything. I want to goof around with you and make jokes that aren't funny but we'll laugh nonetheless.

I just want to fall in love with you over and over and maybe at one point we'll get tired of each other, but until then, I want you, and just you.

What do we do with the chances we missed...

If my life were a movie I’d think that the two of us are now in what people would often call the climax: the most exciting part of the movie, the part where the music becomes intense and though quite predictably, emotions would be running high. But we’re not, and it’s not exciting — it’s dreadful, and it always leaves a hollow feeling of fear in my stomach. I keep on saying that I know nothing and it’s true, I don’t know much and everything is so uncertain in every single aspect.

If this were a movie the next best thing to do is go up to you and tell you what I feel, with my eyes tearing up and with everyone else melting in the background. But it’s not, and I can’t do that, because that just spells disaster. In a movie, it’s okay to be afraid because happy endings exist but in real life, happy endings are just myths that we like making up so we can feel better about ourselves.

If all of this were a movie you and I would not be swimming in unsaid things and hidden feelings. But life is not a movie, and we’re not a bunch of characters acting out a perfectly written storyline. We’re in real life and although sometimes it’s as if we actually have a say with what’s going to happen, most of the time it definitely feels like everything is out of our hands.

And lastly, if this were a movie you’d want all of this as much as I do, and we’ll end up together no matter what. But again (and again) it’s not, and sadly, things usually — if not always — never work out that way.

I marvel at how a few words can bring so much happiness and pain at the same time. People say talk is cheap, but do we even realize how much we rely on words and speech? On how much we hang on to every word said and written?

Or maybe that’s just me and my stupid hoping.

Broken promises aren’t as much of a surprise as how I instantly gave you my trust again. And here I thought I was the “forgive but never forget” kind of person.

Why I'm Going To Die Alone #2432242

I’m supposed to go to a friend’s place right now to… eat and catch up, I guess, but I woke up very late and I had second thoughts. Primarily because I have a fuckton of studying to do, but we all know it’s because I’m too lazy to move my ass.

I mean really, can you see the amount of sunshine outside my window? It’s speaking to me, and it says “Stay at hooooome, I’m skin cancer waiting to happen!”

But he got home from Baguio (he studies there) and he’s leaving later and I do miss him to a great extent but… why can’t he just come here and we can eat and talk in my pajamas?

No? I’m an awful friend I have to leave?

Fine.

I have developed this slight obsession with a friend who used to mean a lot more to me, it’s not unhealthy nor creepy, but it’s just that he recently got himself a girlfriend and for some reason, it made a huge effect on me. On what part of myself exactly, I don’t know, but because of this I have started visiting his Facebook profile more than needed (if visits were ever needed in the first place, since we have decided to just end everything) and I would always spend time pondering on his recent triumph(?) on love.

Maybe it puts things into perspective — what if things went differently between us? Or were things ever meant to go differently? Maybe we’re better off in this awkward friends-but-not-really stage, always casual, and always very polite. When we are together, we always make sure that there is ample distance between us, not too close, but not too far as well because then it would seem off. When we talk, we’re careful not to say something that would break this balance that keeps our relationship from being fully destroyed.

It’s not that I still have feelings for him, no, I’m pretty sure it’s nothing like that. I just want to know why it worked out with her and not with me

Whoever said that having a boyfriend (or a significant other) defines a person’s worth anyway? I don’t need to have a boyfriend so I’d feel better about myself. I mean, seriously, that’s just asking for more emotional baggage, and really, my issues are more than enough.

On tonight's musings

There are certain things you can never say to the people closest to you, but are easy to share to perfect strangers.

There are certain people who force you to forget, and as if that isn’t painful enough, you get this mini heart attack whenever you remember them.

There are certain questions that are difficult to answer — the why’s, the how’s, and the what if’s — but then there are certain people who will make those seem unimportant.

Oh hey, it’s raining

Today, I was exposed to a lot of strangers, and I am simply amazed at how many times the comment “Wow, it’s raining” was said to me.

I’m really awful at small talk. I wish people can just go “Hey, let’s talk about books” or “Do you want to talk about video games or can we just stand in peace and pretend like we’re not obligated to talk to each other?” instead of demonstrating to me how awesome their observational skills are.

(I mean really, I already know it’s raining, I can see.)

I think I need sleep.

OK so good morning pero not so good ang laman ng post na ito. Haha keme. Anyway, naloka ako sa mga nalaman ko kagabi at nakakalungkot kasi sa iba ko pa narinig. Osha di na ko magpapaligoy ligoy pa.

OPPA (Hindi ikaw 'to Niel, wag kang alulod haha love you baby)!!!! Ano ba! Sana sayo na lang nanggaling yung mga bagay na yun para napagtanggol ko man lang yung sarili ko (meganon!!) kasi ang unfair nung sinabi mo. Parang ang labas ako yung malanding selosang pakangkang kasi ayaw kitang nakikipag usap sa iba. OK sorry pero tanga ka ba talaga hindi mo ba gets na nung mga panahon na yun, sobrang nagseselos ako! Kahit sobrang liit lang ng mga bagay na yun para sayo syempre iba yung dating sakin nun. Saka hindi mo din ba naisip na baka natatakot lang ako na makuha ka ng iba at magbago lahat?! Eh yan nangyari na nga kaya napilitan akong magmove on. Congratulations sa akin kasi kinaya ko na naman (for the 4th and last time). Sana lang matauhan ka na kasi hindi ko na talaga kaya ibalik kung gaano tayo kaclose dati. Sapat na sa tingin ko yung ganitong casual na lang tayo. Kitid mo kasi mag isip e.

And oo nga pala, hindi ko ito pinublic post para ipangalandakan sa iba na mali ka tapos tama ako. Gusto ko lang malaman ng lahat na bago pa man dumating si Niel sa buhay ko, sobrang totoong nabethhhan kita oppa at hindi tama yung sinabi mo na sobrang arte ko or mapang angkin ako pagdating sayo kasi nung mga panahon na yun sobrang in love na in love ako sayo haha at feeling ko ganun ka din naman sa bethhh mo.

Ganun pa man tulad nga ng sabi ko dati pa yung mga yun, ayoko ng maging issue kasi ok na ang lahat. Sobrang kontento na ako sa kung anong concept ng buhay ko ngayon. :D
