“I over-analyze situations because I’m scared of what will happen if I’m not prepared for it.”
— Turcois Ominek
me thinking bout my life
the key to maintaining joy in life is getting excited about tomorrow's breakfast every once in a while
you are not unloveable you are just sad and a little bit angry. let’s go have some soup
ur twenties are weird. i have the priorities of a kindergartener again. i don’t know what in the hell is going on EVER. i like colors. i like soup. i want to take a nap
mental illness made me so desperate for joy that i forgot it was this simple… feeling the ocean against your skin… a really good guitar riff… sun on your back… holding the door for a stranger… a cold shower on a hot day…….. the world is like a cradle and i am just a little baby. eyes wide open there is so much to see
what if everything only gets better from here on out? what if everything works out for us? what if all of our best days are still ahead of us? what if all of our dreams come true?
actually i love growing older and learning how i work as a person like realizing what kinds of fabrics feel best on my skin or what brand of yogurt i like best or how I want to be touched. watching myself change, enjoying brussel sprouts when I used to hate them as a child, understanding why I got angry in that one conversation 10 years ago… there are so many mysteries inside me that i have yet to unravel and there will always be more and sometimes i think maybe its all worth it
parents are so crazy because they can say the most fucked up shit to you when your brain is forming and it sets the tone for your whole adult mind set and then they forget about it the next day
