This is a praise blog for the 18+ Closed Species (CS), Somnivores, that is run on its Lorekeeper website Somnivores.com

1. Somnivore Praise only: This blog is for Somnivore centric praise only. If you want to talk about something else, please check out other CS praise blogs.

2. Everything on Anon: all posts will be submitted as anonymous unless explicitely stated otherwise. Even positive opinions can be controversial sometimes.

3. No Shittalking or Venting: If you want to vent or rant about something that is bothering you in Somnivores, please do so on a general CS vent blog or the @somnivorevents (active) @somni-venting (closed) @reverieventing (deactivated) blogs (unaffiliated). I will not be approving asks that are negative towards other anons, onsite/in-discord users, staff or situations.

4. Generally, no Feedback and Suggestions for Somnivores: This blog is not affiliated with any staff members of somnivores. Use the discord or the ticket system if you have ideas or feedback!

Please hype up all sorts of Somnivore content such as; returning or upcoming events, recent sales or flaffle batches, site improvements or changes, new content drops, new MYO designs or impressive prompt submissions!

people are genuinely so nice in this community! every time I strike up a conversation with someone in DMs or leave on-site comments, everyone is always delightful

I have often found the same thing too! For all the complaints of clique-y-ness. One on one, people sure are sweet!

As someone who's suffered a lot in other big CS communities, Somnivores has been like a breath of fresh air. The prompts are more fun, the NPCs are lovely, people are friendly. Everything feels lighter. And I appreciate the fact that even the drama is tame. It's a newer species, so I want to hold my breath on it, but I feel disappointed in myself for doing so because nothing feels bad. Nothing's warranted it.

But I've just been enjoying myself and I wanted to thank everyone who has made the space so welcoming and open.

i love that the current event is almost 2 months long, i don't feel pressured to rush and farm out everything, now i have time to slowly draw all the stuff i want to draw

I'm so excited to see the next season GA lineup, there's so many good artists in the community and I love that they've been picking up mostly brand new names every round and giving the active community members a chance <3 They really care about building up the community and it shows!

I love this too! And there are genuinely so many good artists out there in our community. Can’t wait to see who get’s in!

me over here super excited for my bat customs, i've been absolutely loving the people i've been working with- so sweet and patient with my dumbah and they've just been making me gorgeous guys that I hope other people enjoy seeing too!

It is so nice when the artists you are working with are communicative and seem just as excited about the character as you are! Glad you found some winners.

mod, how would you feel about doing a somnivore specific sexyman poll competition? i want my favorite npcs to be crowned the sexiest

I’d be down for it. I’ll put it up a poll to run from friday for a whole week.

Feel free to drop DMs or submissions l, not for posting, as to how it should be run.

Ideally I would have all NPCs in for the draw. And people could submit their propaganda and statements for why their NPC should be the sexyman for the next week.

ty for running this blog!!! its so nice to see positivity for a species for once, and it seems fairly active here too. Personally, I love somnivores for its creativity and diverse acceptance of art styles. There are so many bats that are sooo unique, and its EASY to make a unique bat because of how flexible the guidelines are and how easy some traits are to get- but not TOO easy. it feels well-balanced!

I appreciate your compliment so much. ☺️ I have always felt praise blogs were perhaps a little too cheesy in my opinion. But it has been so fun to run, and there is so much to be excited about for Somnivores.

Designing bats is definitely so fun and easy, and the mod team is always very friendly too. Which helps.
