The Issues with Gaehive Management

I know I’ve only managed DbD for about a year, but I do think that’s enough time for me to have experience to speak on this situation. I feel like the biggest issue is that some Hive managers don’t understand that being a manager is essentially just a glorified curator. There ARE added responsibilities, but managing is not all that. There’s no reason to act all pretentious about it. Asking questions such as “How can we reply to curators better?” is so out of touch and puts this artificial divide between managers and curators (seriously, just treat curators the same way you’d treat other managers; it’s not that hard and it’s no different). From what I can tell, treating management like a prestigious friend group is a huge part in what’s causing all this drama

I think its worth noting too that a lot of these managers are just straight up adults which definitely puts a further divide. I dont say this out of hate but i genuinely think its time for managers like vio to take a step back and become like the founder of gaehive where she pops in occasionally, not making relationships with 13-16 year olds when youre aging still older.

Im sorry i think under 18s deserve their own spaces in a nonsuperficial "still managed by adults" way. I think that teenagers should learn management, crisis management, leadership, and community engagement. Ive found that managing several studios in my time has helped me tremendously, even if weve had slip ups.
