No but...
It's true! Eddie started out sitting down in that slowmo/sped up sequence so the audience could track him throughout that scene. The others were blurry and unrecognisable, but Eddie was 'right there', very recognisable, because we had seen him sitting down in the beginning and we knew what he was wearing. It's so interesting how they directed/filmed that and 'why' they decided to direct/film it like that. They wanted us to see that Eddie is Buck's 'person' now.
Eddie is always there, never out of frame, steady at Buck's side, in silent support of 'his person'.
It is a thing of beauty.
it’s just that in s8, eddie said no offence but im straight. because he thought the hot priest was flirting with him. then buck said eddie is Straight. and a renter. so i can’t be in love with him. and now we’re in s9 and eddie is paying $2500 so that he can avoid going on a date. and every time a beautiful gorgeous woman flirts with him he makes this face. and also he touched a man’s crotch and got called a princess and a fairy and got accused of murdering his bisexual husband because everyone in the diner saw them arguing like an old married couple. and he didn’t deny the husband part or the gay part but he did deny the murderer part. like. Okay.

Buck treats therapy like self-improvement more than healing. He's gonna be Better, but not for his own happiness, but because he's not good enough right now and he needs to be a better version of himself.
and right now, trying to be The Good Version of himself is what is killing him
so I understand compleeeeetely why therapy would be a terrifying prospect. he's like. I can't do it, I can't make myself be better rn
