"They’re usually never bad but…" Alex sighed softly and rested his head on his knees. "It was just…it was just black and dark and I couldn’t move and then I heard…I heard you scream and I got scared so I called to make sure you were okay." He tapped his foot to release some of the anxiety bubbling through him, though he had nothing to fear. He had to be open with Hamish, and if it meant revealing his nightmares to him, he would. "I’d never have second thoughts about being with you, Mish. I absolutely adore you and just knowing that you’re my fiance keeps me going half the time." He smiled a bit, running a hand through his hair. "I’ve got a lot of time off coming up, so I was planning on coming to see you at Uni, and bring Scotty with me. If that’s alright…"

"Shush. There's nothing to worry about. It was just a dream. I'm perfectly safe and alright." Hamish said soothingly, lips lifting into a small smile. "Well I'm delighted that you're not having second thoughts. Cause that's the main thing that's been worrying me lately. That you've finally come to your senses and decided that I'm not good enough." He let out a short chuckle. "Of course that's alright! Alex, you don't need to ask, you can turn up here anytime. Plus I'd love to see Scotty." He rolled over in the bed, glancing at the clock on his bedside table. "I can't wait to see you and cuddle and kiss you."

Hamish let out a short yawn, fingers tapping absent-mindedly over the spine of the book that he was reading. He was working the morning shift in the bookshop and there hadn’t been a customer for the past hour. He was even beginning to get bored of reading. The lines seemed to blur together so that by now he wasn’t even paying attention to what he was reading. Sighing slightly he took a sip of his coffee, eyes darting up as he heard the door open. Finally. A customer. Snapping his book shut Hamish placed it down on the counter, lips lifting into a friendly smile. “Hey, can I help you with something?”
