昼間でも見える地縛霊

誰がなんのためにそこに貼り付けたのか。理由はわからなくても効果は抜群なのは確かだ。街を歩いて写真を撮るようになってから久しいが、心臓が止まりそうになることはこれが初めてだった。自分が怖がりであることは間違いなのだが、その表情と色のないドットの粗いプリントのせいもあるだろう。出会ったのが真夏の暑い昼間であったのは幸いだったと思う、これが夜中であれば間違いなく心肺停止になったに違いない。

路地裏は街灯が少ない割には人の往来は多かったりする。昼間でも薄暗い場所の拠り所は、1年を通して自販機だったりするがそう考えると1年中働いているわけだ。その自販機でドリンクを買うことはないのに、お世話になりっぱなしなわけだ。

記憶の風化

工事現場を囲うための一時的なフェンスを味気ないと思う人は少なくないみたい、だけどその工事そのものがストップしてしまい一時的のつもりのフェンスが、半永久的なまま放置されることも少なくない。そんなフェンスには「味気なさ」緩和するために、誰にも嫌われないけれど誰にも好かれることのない風景写真が印刷されるのをよく見かける。誰にも好かれない誰の記憶でもないその写真はストリートで共有化されるが、その記憶も風化してゆく。色彩が薄れ画像が剥げ落ち特徴的なものがやや残るが、それもやがて消えてゆく・・・。自分の記憶の消えてゆくさまを客観的に提示されているようで、みて見ぬふりをしながら前を通り過ぎている。
