imagine being ryan mason and watching this club honestly you grow up in the academy and you work hard to play for the club that you love with every bit of your soul and then you got sold and then you get a horrific head injury but then you come back to spurs and do your coaching badges and your best mate turns into the greatest player in the world and it’s been years since you won your last trophy and decades since you won the league and you get so close you can taste it and you get into a cl final and then the club starts teetering and crashing and they ask you to be its guardian as the ship is sinking and you wax poetic about spurs and you stay despite everything and you stay despite knowing you could probably kickstart your managerial career elsewhere but you want to be at spurs, you love this club, but you’re in the dugout watching it go down in flames in front of you year after year

i’m actually on the floor in tears i haven’t stopped crying since i watched the video they got everyone to send in their messages they got jan and chris and kevin and dele and harry and all of the current boys and sonny said he’s grown up together with this club, he said we win together and we lose together and we stick together, and it’s just an outpouring of love for him and for spurs and like vic said what he’s done and what he’s doing and what he will do for this football club is just so beyond words. we love you sonny so much 😭🤍
