I just received this link to one of my wedding videos that was taken with a drone, by Nicolas Fernandez. Really good job, Nicolas, Thank you! :)
All the gardens that you see in this video belong to the villa we rented to celebrate our wedding in Marbella.Â
It was a small wedding, 46 guests. You can see that our guests were diving in the pool, playing badminton shirtless, drinking champagne in the jacuzzi, dancing in the dancefloor, relaxing at the outdoors kitchen and taking pictures in front of the vanity mirror. It was a fun wedding and very different to others!
I can't wait to receive the wedding video from Antonio de Perez. I'll post it as soon as I have it in my hands. :)
The views of the villa are amazing. If you pay attention, you can see Gibraltar on the right when looking at the sea, and North Africa across the Mediterranean.Â
Welcome to Sophie and Luna â Londonâs first dried flower company
Hi!
My name is Sandra and Iâm Sophie and Lunaâs Founder and Head of Design. I create accessories and bouquets using dried flowers. I got married three times, but to the same man. I love weddings and I LOVE my job.
Everything started when I was planning my wedding last year. I wanted to give my bridesmaids flower crowns that they could use more than once as gifts. The problem is that I never liked plastic or fabric flowers, and I couldnât find affordable high quality ones that still looked beautiful. I didnât want to give them fresh flower crowns either, because they wouldnât be able to wear them for more than one day, and fresh flowers are quite heavy because they are 70% water, and get uncomfortable after you wear them for a while. Also, quotes that I received from florist shops were quite high :( What was I going to do?
After thinking, thinking again, and doing a lot of research online, I couldnât find a company in the UK that made flower crowns in the style I was looking for. I found some vintage looking dried flower accessories, but I still wanted something âsummeryâ and fresh, as my main wedding was in sunny Spain.
Discouraged, I stopped looking and gave up. I felt frustrated. I couldnât believe that nobody in the UK made the colourful and fun dried flower crowns I was looking for. All the sudden I had this brilliant idea: Iâd be the first one in the UK to make these kinds of crowns, and make all of my own wedding flowers! I loved it. I got really excited and I wanted to share it with someone. Who was the first one? Charles, my lovely husband. He wasnât very convinced about the new business idea. He knew I loved drawing, painting and everything related to art, and also how much I loved flowers, but he didnât know what I could create with dried flowers and wire. But after he saw my first crowns, and the reaction that I got from everyone who saw them, he changed his mind completely and is now my biggest fan.
Iâll tell you a little about myself. I moved to London in 2009 with the idea of studying Marketing and building a career. I always loved fashion and I wanted to experience working in the fashion industry in London. I studied Marketing, became a member of the Chartered Institute of  Marketing, and got some experience doing marketing for online fashion businesses. I loved what I was doing, but I always wanted to have my own company.
I consider myself  a person who loves the world, animals, nature and sustainable living. Iâm very laid back and I try to enjoy life as it is. The ideal lifestyle for me is doing what I love â and what I love is to be artistic and creative â and to do it in a place that I love, which is somewhere by the sea where it is always warm, and to be with my loved one, which is my husband. In other words, travelling around the world, following the sun, making and selling my flower crowns and enjoying a relaxed life with my love.
LOVING THE SUNSET, Mai Khao Beach, Thailand.
Now you might ask why I live in one of the biggest cities in the world, if I want to be by someplace warm by the sea. I just love London! I have a special connection with this city as Iâve grown up a lot here in the five years I have lived here. I became who I am now and this is where I met my husband 4 years ago.  There is so much energy and creativity in London, everything is always changing and there are people here from every part of the world. I love living in London and now consider it my home.
Iâm really excited about everything that I have to tell you, new pieces, collaborations, my bridesâ testimonials, projects, fairsâŚÂ I hope I can type some words every week.Â
