FFXV x Persona 5. Iris.

Next character is Iris Amicitia, Gladio’s younger sister. She attends the same school as Noctis, Prompto and Gladio and so wears the same uniform. Her design is pretty much just her original game costume but with the uniform over it. Her metaverse costume is inspired by Crowe’s outfit from Kingsglaive but turned into more of a magical girl costume. Her mask is inspired by the Chocobo mask from FF14 and her staff is inspired by staff used by King Mog in FF14. Her persona, Emperor Mog’s design is a combination of the designs of the moogle doll in FFXV and King Mog and Moglin from FF14. I also made him more ethereal in a way.

Why she hadn’t spoken to him much before now was beyond her? Maybe this was all she needed to make the days go by quicker and make this dead end job and actual fun one.

“I’d buy your first album just to be that pillar of support. You really wanna turn that down?” A little bit of back and forth here and there was amusing to her and she leant back in her chair putting her work on pause for a moment.

When he had done the same, she chuckled a little before shaking her head in amusement and looking over to see if any of the others in the office were listening. Satisfied that most of them had gone for their lunches, she turned back to her new found friend.

“I just feel down being in this job, if I’m honest.”

It felt a little odd, unloading her problems onto that of a stranger but it also felt as though a weight had been lifted off of her shoulders at the same time.

His smile faded for the moment. The tone of the conversation would be heading down a serious and emotional avenue if he didn’t get it back on track soon. Not only that, she seemed interested in confiding this to him in private. It made him a little uncomfortable, but at the same time he appreciated how quickly he’d formed a new connection. Practical advice, that’s what he’d go for, keep things at a level he was comfortable with.

“Can’t blame you, it’s a boring routine. Nobody here’s doing what they love.” He rested his face in his hand, elbow propping him up from the desk. “But I’d never stay in a situation long enough for it to start making me miserable. Jobs like this, I’ll put up with for as long as I’m able. Soon as I start feeling like you, I remember my options. You could quit tomorrow, travel the world, scraping by on whatever money you can get. You could go back to school, get into a different career. Or just give it all up and be a groupie for that new boy band we ere just talking about.” He offered a casual shrug.

“Point is, you choose the life you want. I’m not the type to sit around, accepting  situation I don’t want. If I want to make a change, I’ll change it up.”

I guess you’re right, but - I still wasn’t strong enough to fight her off.. You know?”

His words, calming as ever - holding belief in her still after all this time and what happened. Rinoa felt at ease, because he was right in a sense but in the same turn of events, she still committed the crime. He didn’t want her to feel bad and she knew it, thankful for his words - she returned a light smile. Thank you, Seifer…

“ Do you really think so? And, things are still a little tense but it’s starting to let up now. People are coming outside more now with less and less soldiers patrolling areas.”

One of her hands brought to her necklace, and she had a small question -

“ Uhm, there is a small coffee shop that opened there recently, after we get our work done, why don’t we treat ourselves out?”

The guilt dripping from her words filled Seifer with an urge to groan. Instead, he forced a sharp laugh.

“Yes. You weren’t strong enough to fight off an all powerful sorceress from the future. Think it’s time you started hitting the gym a bit more.” He threw a casual shrug onto the end of his comment.

He grimaced when she invited him for coffee. The conversation was just starting to feel natural. Hearing the normally upbeat girl say “Uhm” immediately reminded him there was a level of discomfort between them. She sounded like a fifteen year old asking a boy out for the first time. Time to change the subject. “Work sounds like a plan. The Esthar soldiers will be dealing with the larger groups of monsters around, especially the high-risk ones close to towns and cities. I was thinking of looking for some around the outlying areas. Big sons of bitches that could be a problem if they gather with too many others. Hit ‘em with a pre-emptive strike before they become a threat.” He cut himself off before the rambling made things worse. “Uh, what about you?”

Watching him for a moment, she couldn’t quite tell if he was being serious or not but when she realised he was only joking, she couldn’t help but giggle a little. That was what she needed on this gloomy afternoon and she appreciated his efforts.

“To be honest, I don’t think you should give up on the boyband situation, you never know–you could be rich and famous before you know it and then you can leave this dead end office job behind. Sounds like a perfect plan to me.”

Of course she was only joking back and she hoped he realised that, it always helped to have a little bit of humour in conversation, passed the time and she was just happy that he seemed carefree enough to do so. Why hadn’t she tried to make conversation with this guy before? She was suddenly regretting her decision to leave it so late.

Another laugh escaped her as she covered her mouth with a perfectly manicured hand, her snack soon forgotten as she was much to happy to engage in conversation with an actual human being rather than a computer screen.

“Well, unless you want to give me some of that money you’ve saved up for my own therapy then I wouldn’t have to speak to you about it, at least you’re free and you have to listen because you sit opposite me.””

“Well I’m flattered you think I have the looks for it.” Seifer yawned while stretching his arms out behind him. “Sadly I don’t think the world is ready for my glorious stage debut just yet. Maybe someday.”

She was actually pretty friendly. He wasn’t sure why but he’d imagined her being more of a cold, distant type. Her last comment had him raising an eyebrow, she was certainly confident.

“Ha! Tell you what, I’ll listen for as long as you can remain more interesting than this report.” He brought his hands back from the keyboard, abandoning the task so he could lean back and focus on the conversation.

“So, tell me what’s on your mind Ms. ...?”  He put on his best therapist impression and trailed off the sentence, waiting for her to give her name.

“Um I do not no.” Was she suppose too? Though everything the man had talked about didn’t ring any bells to Vanille who was starting to look more worried than before as she stepped closer to him. She really meant no harm, and it should be clear she didn’t want to trouble him, then again ending up on a strange world was sorta nothing new for her at this point in her life. “I-I don’t believe I am from this world.”

Seifer groaned. The girl was giving him barely any useful information, and he couldn’t say whether it was deliberate or just due to nerves. What pissed him off more was how sweet and innocent she seemed. She was just a girl, probably younger than him. All he could think about was how infuriating it would be if she was a sorceress and he fell for her act.

“Not from this world huh? And how the hell would you know that?”

Things had definitely become interesting over the past few years. Between getting married and being a soon to be mother, Serah wasn’t sure what else to expect in her life. Things had changed so much for her over the years. Some things she never thought she had to deal with. And that was mainly when she became a l'Cie and then later when she became a seeress which had cost her her life and caused Lightning to risk everything to bring her back.

But now here they were. On a new world to call home with new lives. And being careful not to make the same mistakes they made in the past. On this day Serah was walking along one of the wooded paths that were in the small town where they lived enjoying the fresh air.

Another day, another new world to explore. The bangle had brought him to a forested area this time. Nice to have some greenery after the number of desolate, dystopian wastelands he seemed to come across. He started with his typical perimeter checks, having a look at what was in the area, what kind of wildlife or monsters might be lurking around. The area seemed relatively civilised, with buildings poking out through the trees. He heard footsteps from beyond the tree-line. A woman, with extraordinarily bright pink hair, walked one of the paths through the trees. It would help him get a lot more information if he actually spoke to someone from here, assuming they spoke the same language. If he was going to emerge from the trees he’d better avoid making it look like an ambush. He stomped through the trees, breaking ever twig, rustling every bush in his path to make sure she would hear him coming, before stepping out onto the bright sunlit path.

“Hey!” He dusted off his long white coat and dark trousers. “Sorry for the noise, seemed to have gotten a bit lost there. You mind telling me the name of this town?”
