Wioleta gasped dramatically at the sight of him, “Drake!”

The hen dashed to his side, wasting no time at all to show him she was there. Kneeling beside him, her hands hesitated above his wounded body, unsure if she should touch him in what must be such a painful situation.

“That’s not funny!” she scolded his humor, shooting him an expression that was something of both anger and being close to tears. “Look at you! What if I didn’t come look for you? Does it hurt? I’ll bet it does. Oh, Drake..”

A gloved hand finally settled to push back some of his disheveled hair. “I brought police. They helped me look for you.”
