Positivity;;
Often, there’s something negative spread across the wonders of Tumblr.
There are blogs with the intention to spread kindness on behalf of the souls that wish to share good things and blogs that play the anon for those who are not in a good place. What is widely known is that something good or bad can go so very far.
Not everyone is having a good day. Not everyone is okay. To the negative and positive, words are given power by the reader. Some will take the words to heart, others, will disregard.
Lately, there are more and more pages reblogging prompts to EARN positivity, often, tucking beneath dark shades of the anon to see if their page will be announced with the good.
What has been noticed among these pages posting or reblogging “send ___ if I’m portraying my muse properly” or “Send me your opinion on my writing.” is the subsequent exhibition of doubt in the tags. It’s as if they’re compelled to feel ashamed of wanting to see something good or scared there is going to be something unfavorable….
Realize there are options to reblog suggestions of critiques and general positivity because it’s okay to want to see something good written about you.
We’re human, we love seeing nice things. Liking something or reblogging anything asking for critiques or kindness is something we each should indulge, in my belief. Opportunities such as this allows our friends tell us something, something that we may have missed in seeing in ourselves.
There is nothing wrong with asking fellow writers to critique and compliment.
