Yesterday was definitely one for the books. We started out with a Daddy Daughters breakfast at IHOP, then took Rey to the dog park (which she and we love) and then took the girls on the carousel in the park, which was pretty cool I must say! Then ended the day at MONSTER JAM!!!!! I have never been to see Monster truck live but I was always a fan. My favorite growing up was Bigfoot! His tires were GIGANTIC but I never had the opportunity to go. This was a surprise for the girls because to be honest, I wasn’t sure they would be into it because they already pretty girly girls. But they had a blast! I was so happy we had such a great time together! Thank you Ernie, Ollie and Nani!!!!! Oh, and get your kids ear phones for this thing, they were sooooo LOUD!!!! But it was totally worth it and we all said we love to go see them again!!!! Also, thank you to my incredible Wife for giving us the day to do these kinds of things. We all had so much fun! Ya know that ol’ saying, “Reflecting on the past year, blah blah blah”, yeah, it’s one of those posts. I closed our office tonight so I am home pretty late, however I did want to leave you all with my take on 2019, you ready.....here goes.......talk.......build relationships......go outside your comfort zone, in fact BE uncomfortable for a little! Try things. Do something that you’ve been putting off for a while. After losing my Dad this year, it’s made me reflect a lot. He lived a hard last 10 years of his life, and I KNOW, that he would tell me now that he wished he would have taken more risks, had more fun, done the undone! Losing people close to you definitely gives you a lot of self realization. However, 2019 wasn’t all bad, we bought a house. And believe you me, A LOT of others sacrificed for us to be homeowners! We rescued a great puppy and named her Rey! We’ve made new friends! But we also lost a cousin, Yohji, very unexpectedly. Life, no matter what year it is can definitely knock you down, but it all comes down to your own response. So give it hell!!! I look forward to 2020. It’s a fun ride and we only get one. I can’t wait to see what a new decade has in store. Maybe we’ll finally get a true hover board, who knows, but I for one am ready for the challenges and peaks! So I’ve been a bit busy as of late so I haven’t really had a moment to post, aside from my wife making the initial post, but this is our new little addition to the Borboa family! Her name (which was given by our kids of course) is Rey Organa Borboa. She is a Lab/Staffordshire Mix. We adopted her at 10 weeks, she is now 12 weeks old. Very playful, great with kids and enjoys peeing on our brand new rug in the living room. It’s like having another newborn that bites.....HARD!!!! She is cute so that kind of offsets how pissed I get when I have to clean up her pee.
