that moment in the montage when everything around him starts going faster as buck stays zoned out in the middle except for a good chunk of that portion eddie is also still because he's just been sitting next to buck comforting him with his presence while everyone else does the work around the house. Yeah. Yeah.

No but...

It's true! Eddie started out sitting down in that slowmo/sped up sequence so the audience could track him throughout that scene. The others were blurry and unrecognisable, but Eddie was 'right there', very recognisable, because we had seen him sitting down in the beginning and we knew what he was wearing. It's so interesting how they directed/filmed that and 'why' they decided to direct/film it like that. They wanted us to see that Eddie is Buck's 'person' now.

Eddie is always there, never out of frame, steady at Buck's side, in silent support of 'his person'.

It is a thing of beauty.

i cant wait for eddie to just. introduce buck as his partner one day. like. yeah, this is my partner, buck. and buck laughs nervously and explains "we're firefighters" and eddie laughs and says yeah, used to be partners there too but i'm a paramedic now, so. just life partners right now :) and buck chokes on his own saliva. ❤️ yay
