But what other options did he have? If he didn’t act in any sort of way obviously he would seem like a giant disappointment who’s unable to do anything right! He’d be the lamest person the world would know of! So it was either ‘hug’ or fight and go to jail.

So seeing that there were no other ways left, he decided to take the only request he has and kneel down before the child to give it a warm hug. It wasn’t perfect, but it was good enough.

However, that was only if this young man would actually, literally fight a harmless, loving child. Perhaps they had to teach him how to do a different kind of fighting.

For a second there he was left utterly confused honestly he expected the child to either cheer in his glory or be super entertained by his speech but instead of that he felt child’s attempts of performing some kind of wrestle move on him. Luckily for him he was taller than ‘it’ and therefor the kid couldn’t even reach further than his leg. Obviously, this was a failure movement. But he didn’t want them to be left disappointed since still, he had some form of a heart in there.

Of course this started out as a silly conversation to check out how naive a child can be. At this point however, it just turned into a bunch of lies he pulled out of his asshole. But it was okay, he was absolutely enjoying himself. This entire experience is blast to him. Children are horrible and Earth-children are even worse.

from left and right, the child CANNOT understand why the stranger felt the need to flip out on them like that. Was he one of those overly sensitive monsters? One with a touchy soul, required ultimate and absolute gentleness? HMMM. Perhaps they had to, as UNDYNE would say it, ENGAGE IN BATTLE! The little kid spreads both arms and inhales deeply, clearing their thoughts from whatever the creature said (even ignored the surprisingly stupid and dumb speech), and presented their special attack ---- a HUG.
