Ā Ā Ā Ā she can see it all over her face, plain as the sun in the sky. all of this pains sophitia. azolaĀ canāt remember a time sheād seen sophitiaĀ seem so utterly forlorn, even the slightest bit defeated.Ā thereās a horrible sense of satisfaction in that. that she had been able to get under her skin so effectively. it was what she deserved, being so perfect all the time. chosen by the gods. for leaving her behind when she went on her grand adventures. no one else really believed sophitia aside from her family. but azolaĀ believed. azolaĀ wanted it for herself. it was when the darkness started creeping into her own heart and settled, its tendrils shooting out and rooting itself to the four chambers.Ā
Ā Ā Ā a darkness the sword feeds on. as it does with any who enter this cursed place with darkness in their heart.

Ā ā no, i couldnātĀ ā āĀ Ā she laments, though the lamentations are disingenuous as is all else about her anymore.Ā Ā ā of course, sophitia, i would never abandon my best friend. especially not at such a hard time. i donāt think anyone else would understand that you did what you had to.Ā āĀ Ā her voice is light, not the same one she used against any who stood before her, but one that sophitia had grown up with, one she knew well. familiarity is her weapon, a false comfort she can offer sophitiaĀ when everything else crumbles down around her. after all, to azola, sophitia deserves this. she should have been the chosen one.
