Aight son then here’s what you’re gonna wanna do
At the very LEAST, you’re gonna want to read More Than Meets The Eye, its predecessor. Lucky for you, I think all of it is out in volumes now, which is significantly easier for reading and money-wise as well.
You’re going to want to read MTMTE volumes 1-5, and then it gets tricky, because the next arc, Dark Cybertron, switches issues back and forth with MTMTE’s sister comic, RID. So it’s far easier to just buy/read Dark Cybertron volumes 1-2. Then you’ll want to read MTMTE volumes 6-10, and then the Titans Return collection.
I would also HIGHLY recommend to, before reading any MTMTE, first read Autocracy #1-12 (you can buy that as a collection too), Spotlight: Hot Rod, the Drift miniseries (can also be bought as a collection), and Last Stand of the Wreckers - in that order. It gives some really good background into many characters, especially Rodimus and Drift, as well as content called back upon during MTMTE. However, this is optional, although definitely recommended.
Not as crucial to the series (but still funny and relevant) are Spotlight: Hoist and Spotlight: Trailcutter, which (in that order) take place between MTMTE issues #5 and #6. There is also a holiday special and an annual, which are also really funny and great!
So, in short, if you were to read all I recommended, it would go like this:
Drift miniseries (4 issues)
Last Stand of the Wreckers
MTMTE vol 1 + Spotlight: Hoist and Spotlight: Trailcutter (between #5 and #6), and the MTMTE Annual between #8 and #9)
Dark Cybertron arc vol 1 and 2
MTMTE vol 7 + The Transformers: Holiday Special (between #37 and #38)
