I've been using textedit to import image files into. When you do this the encryption for the image appears and you can alter it. Here is one that I have glitched of myself, the selfie being so prominent in today's social media culture I found it relevant. I've written poetry about lust and emotional connection as this is something we all feel and yearn for. Writing this vulnerable stuff within an encrypted image on a digital format which is the complete opposite creates this jilted, corrupted image, the combination of the human instinct and the artificial. That's what this photo is now a product of. The Corrupted Selfie.

This an old development that I forgot to upload. I bought these real tacky neon shot glasses and the plan was to make a fountain with pink water constantly running through sitting in a paddling pool. Unfortunately i couldn't afford the pump, tubing and the amount of shot glasses to create the scale for the pice that was intended. Will have to leave this one for next year.

I am using the audio from this makeup tutorial to create a sonic piece within my moving image work. I'm interested in how this video endorses products with the promise of looking like the woman shown in the video and it links in with my exploration of western culture and how products play a vital role along with illusions.
