She smiled and kissed him softly. Her arms were wrapped around his shoulder as he picked her up. Amelia giggled, she loved how tall her husband was. She always seemed to fit into his frame perfectly.

Felix gave her a soft kiss “I’m not like the others, Amelia. You don’t have to worry that I’ll wander away or stop loving you. I’ll always be here. Always right here. ”

She blushed and looked away shyly. He knew her well and knew when her insecurities were showing. “I know. I know that ya ain’t like them, that yer mine but…I cain’t help it. Before I met ya men would come inta my life and swear they loved me and then….then they got bored of me. It’s somethin’ I still struggle ta get over. I know yer not like them and I’m so thankful fer that.”

Felix kissed the hollow of her throat and gazed up at her “You’ll always surprise me…and Amelia we have had arguments. But you know what makes us work ? Love and communication. You’re the only woman that when I was upset I stayed to fix it instead of running. ”

She still.....surprised him? "I didn't know I could still surprise ya. Ya know me inside and out. Ain't no one is closer ta me then ya." Amelia listened to his confession. "I'm happy that ya stayed and worked things out. We fight, sure but every couple fights. What matters is that we resolve it and we never stop lovin' each other. I feel so lucky ta have ya in my life."

Felix turned red and chuckled softly. Stroking her cheek “amore. Where did that come from ?” He smiled shyly. Looping an arm around her waist.

She smiled up at him. "I just want ya ta know how much I cherish ya. I want ta spend the rest of my days with ya." Amelia didn't tell him that if he ever left her, or decided he no longer loved her, she would never love again. She would spend the rest of her days in solitude at her home.
