RELATIONSHIP HEADCANON Β / Β CINDER & TYRIAN
Both Cinder & Tyrian hold eminently different opinions of each other. Because of this, the two have never given themselves the opportunity to forge a real bond & will end up bickering with one another.
Despite their dispute; the two are an exceptionally unique pair together when it comes to battle & will often overpower their opposition through tactics that appear to be methodical.
Tyrianβs distaste for Cinder sprouts from jealously & an unhealthy obsession with Salem ( or rather,Β βhis goddess.β )
Tyrian considered himself to be theΒ βfavouriteβ before Cinder was recruited into their inner circle & has held an unfathomable grudge towards the MAIDEN ever since.
Cinder, however, holds no amount of hatred for her accomplice. Perhaps, disapproval for his actions against her, but beyond physical altercation; she tends to pay him no mind.
From a young age; the two had rigorously trained together - most of their supervised battles ending in a sort ofΒ βthe loser must dieβ trope. Tyrian proved to be stronger in their younger years, as Cinder had yet to master her SEMBLANCE. However, with practice - Cinder was able to best Tyrian; more than once.
During Cinderβs time away on REMNANT, Tyrian took advantage of this & made every attempt to impress Salem, to win back her love & approval. However, upon Cinderβs return; he was only met with more disregard, as Cinderβs status was far more important than Tyrianβs need for validation.
To cope with this; Tyrian repeatedly teased Cinder for her maimed visage, going so far as to physically prod at the wounds.
Q: DOES TYRIAN RESPECT CINDER IN ANY FORM?
A: Tyrian does respect Cinder, but it leans more towards a moral respect. Theyβre accomplices & no matter how much they bicker, theyβre forced to work together at times.
He can respect her strength & willpower. He would never admit to it; but he admires her ability to push on, despite her wounds.
Q: HOW DOES CINDER FEEL ABOUT TYRIAN NOW MISSING HIS STINGER?
A: Unlike Tyrian, Cinder isnβt known to partake in childish acts of teasing. She felt a small amount of pity; as the FAUNUS had lost a piece of his heritage - but beyond that; she felt nothing.
