Día 28: Ten mala memoria
Los celos no se generan por la desconfianza, sino por el miedo de que otra persona vea todo lo que tú ves en la persona que tanto amas.

How to find your own style
Take inspiration, but don’t copy. No one likes a copycat. Look around on youtube, tumblr, pinterest, etc. for people who have a makeup or fashion style you admire. Take parts that you like from any or all of them and build on it, and mix it up.
Notice what your favorite pieces are. It’ll give you an idea of what your style or vibe is. Do you like comfortable, casual, and minimalist? Or do you like loud, make-a-statement pieces? When things make you feel good, ask why. Why do you wear that necklace on certain days but not others? Find out.
Clean out your closet. Throw away, donate, or sell anything you haven’t worn in the past year. If you’ve got a strong emotional attachment to it, you can keep it, but if you aren’t going to wear it then tuck it away somewhere else. Your closet should only be filled with things open to you.
Don’t be afraid to go extreme. I’m the kind of person who hates being gawked at in public, but I’ve learned not to let it bother me. Wear bold colors and funny hats or glasses. Make your makeup like your in a weird fashion show. We’re all clowns in this house and we love it.
Don’t wear a whole outfit made up of recognizable name brands. It all put together will make you look like you’re wearing a costume, or you’ll look just like everyone else, and plus it costs a hell of a lot of money. Buy from cheaper stores, find some gems in thrift stores or online (get specific with what you’re looking for in the search).
If you’re going to get something more expensive, make it a statement or investment piece. Don’t buy it on impulse and do your research (i.e. can I get it for a better price elsewhere) before buying. Let your thoughts marinate on it. Use these pieces to stand out above your basic, “foundation” pieces (shirts, jeans, etc. Investment pieces would be jackets and blazers, good shoes, etc).
Look at things that might not be considered as accessories in the first place. Use your imagination. Do some DIY. The little children’s party favor toys you can find at Oriental Trading or Party City could be turned into earrings or rings. Turn scraps of lace or fabric into chokers. Make big beads out of colorful air-dry clay and make a necklace or bracelet. So much to do!

“La diferencia entre Tumblr y las demás redes sociales es que aquí siempre se encontraras algo que parece que fue escrito por ti mismo.”

Desintoxicarse de personas, lugares, hábitos, es necesario para lograr un cambio.

When you’re joking around with your family and almost reveal something about yourself.
“So deal with the past on the level of the present. The more attention you give to the past, the more you energize it, and the more likely you are to make a “self” out of it. Don’t misunderstand: Attention is essential, but not to the past as past. Give attention to the present; give attention to your behavior, to your reactions, moods, thoughts, emotions, fears, and desires as they occur in the present. There’s the past in you. If you can be present enough to watch all those things, not critically or analytically but nonjudgmentally, then you are dealing with the past and dissolving it through the power of your presence. You cannot find yourself by going into the past. You find yourself by coming into the present.”

Yo no tengo tumblr para ser entendido, sino porque quería mostrar mi interior. Aquí no hay objetos, cosas, materia, sino pensamientos y puros sentimientos.

“I learned not to trust people; I learned not to believe what they say but to watch what they do. I learned to suspect that everyone is capable of living a lie. I came to believe that other people - even when you think you know them well - are ultimately unknowable.”
— Lynn Barber
