TempleOS: Terry Responds to the Haters
Pure fat logic
honestly, fuck the economy of privilege. In it’s simplest form, it’s basically the “count your blessings “ thing our parents used to tell us. And the basic concept is a good idea, to be grateful for what you have, to recognise that not everyone has the good stuff you do, and to be empathetic to other people’s situations. It’s a good lesson, but the economy of privilege has warped a great concept into a currency, allowing people with less privilege points to bully and belittle people with more perceived privilege points, ignoring the fact that you don’t know what’s going on in someone else’s life, and you have no way of knowing all their personal problems and difficulties. Another thing is that the economy of privilege is overwhelming western-centric, and as a result, abandons people in third world countries with little to no rights, and ironically, less privilege points than all of us, putting them at the top of the pyramid. We shouldn’t need a bullshit ranking system to be empathetic to people, or to give .1% of a shit about them, so I really hope this trend dies out soon, so we can stop putting suffering on a pedestal, and we can just be nice people living our best lives
Could not agree more. I hope one day people will realize that categorizing everyone based on where they came from and what they have is a terrible assessment of character. We should focus on what people do to make the world a better place, not what their ancestors or parents had/did.

These public officials should be disbarred.
There is a danger in rapid, irrational, unjust prosecution. Social change requires an ideological shift, not violence and hate mongering.
Social Justice does not just circumvent the Law, it makes real justice weak.
Can I Just Say...
I HATE that white people interpret and twist representation as a political statement or a “trend”, as if it is impossible for them to enjoy and relate to poc characters in television, books, and movies. So many of these productions all have things that we can relate to. Take Black Panther for example: The goofy sibling relationship between T’Challa and Shuri remind me of my sisters and I. The way T’Challa honors and respects the women around him warms my heart. Watching these badass Wakandian women kick ass on screen inspires me as a woman. Yes, white people (including myself) appropriating “Wakanda Forever” for themselves is inappropriate. Wakanda isn’t for us, but that doesn’t mean its not a dope ass movie that we all can relate to on some level. White people keep acting like “Oops, I can’t see Star Wars because the two male protagonists are Black and Latino men” or “I refuse go see Black Panther because there’s only two white characters” or even “I am boycotting Wonder Woman because I can’t relate to a female character”. NEWS FLASH: People of color have been forced to relate to white characters throughout the majority of cinematic history. If white people can’t relate to a character because they are black, Latino, Asian, LGBT, women, etc: then what they are saying is that “I cannot relate to these characters because they are not human in the way that I am human” which is bullshit. If white people cannot relate to, support, and be excited about poc representation, then they are saying “I can only relate to, support, and be excited about people who look like me”. They are so used to being the “standard” in Hollywood that they think anything other than white characters represents some hidden anti-white agenda. White people get upset seeing happy black families (ie: Black Panther, Black-ish, etc) on screen because they are normalized, and white people don’t like thinking that maybe they aren’t the only ones who are normal. White people can’t stand watching people of color having individual, beautiful stories that don’t revolve around them. Seriously, I am so fed up with this ashdgkdljgaciolshd kjv
There is so much wring in this post I don’t know where to begin with.
I really enjoyed the Black Panther, that's why I watched it in theatres. No one made any racial comments in the movie. There was a surprising mix of Marvel fans of all ethnicities. Maybe realize that labelling yourself as victims and lying about how the authoritarian whites are not seeing people in a superhero movie as humans doesn't do anyone any good. Thinking that white people are appropriating the imaginary country of Wakanda is fucking ridiculous. Go outside, smell the fresh air, and realize there is not a white appropriation movement trying to oppress people through Marvel movies. In all honesty, most of us don't give a fuck about race like the neo-marxists do. When you stop looking at the actions of a race and recognize the intentions of the individual, you realize it's not intersectional- and it really isn't that black or white. Just a bunch of nerds who enjoy good hero's and excellent cinematography.
