like i get it he’s a very mopey teenage werewolf prefect and i love angst and melodrama as much as the next guy but….. where’s the sarcasm (”signs of a werewolf: he’s sitting in my chair…”)… the prank spells (waddiwasi)… the antagonism (humiliating Snape in front of an audience of their students - we’ll ignore the inherent transphobia, as far as characterization goes though, thanks for that, JK)

i would love nothing more than for this to turn into a thread of fic recs that feature a good back-and-forth banter (sadly i’m not much of a writer myself),
so in return i’ll offer something i happened to read earlier today: Morpheus and the Sky
to be fair the banter isn’t so much sassy as it is goading and a little bit mean (context: sirius and remus are exes but still friends at the start), but it was a really great read, and i enjoyed the drama of an awkward adult friendship with rough edges (good etiquette probably demands i tag the author ive thrown into this unprompted, right…?) @shaggydogstail
