It was all in a flash...

The energy of the room shifted, clustered groups of students all stared in shock and horror at the bloody mess Brodie was in. His yellow fur was stained, his blood leaking onto the hardwood floors as he laid there, struggling to keep his eyes open. This party took a turn for the worse and I couldn't stop shaking. I had no idea what he looked like, only the image of the blade striking his arm was all I remembered. I could only beg for Brodie to get up.

Today I realized how distant and cold I'm becoming,I feel like there's a cloud of emotional blockage surrounding me, keeping me closed off, and no matter how much I smile, I know I'll never feel the warmth of connecting with someone again. I'm a hermit in my own relationships.
