Out of curiosity: when Fotis was born, did the whole ordeal scared X out of his mind?

Because, a being made as weapon would not have a body prepared for pregnancy and labor. Even with great pain tolerance, without a birth canal can be a really difficult birth, expecially go a body prepared for external damage (does not mean anything because labor is still traumatizing to most women).

Or I am rambling again and it was the fastest childbirth in history?

Anyway, I bet X was as protective as a dragon of the baby, after some time reflecting on the situation.

Oh trust me. I am a professional yapper so here we go. I have put way too much thought into this aspect. There's going to be a LOT of info being dumped all in one go.

So to answer the first question: X was terrified of the whole ordeal. Not just because of the whole aspect of giving birth, but the whole idea of caring for a fragile creature like a baby is intimidating to most people. That's a whole new life being brought into this cruel world. There was also the fear of whether or not X and Ed would raise the kid right.

X was under a lot of pressure. But it doesn't necessarily mean that he didn't want to go through with it. This was something that Ed and X mutually agreed on because they wanted to be a family. It gave them a sense of being somewhat human despite being made to be weapons of war.

Now in terms of how X's reproductive organs work, it's all just a matter of headcanon and we got to go back to the beginning. This particular story I've got going on throws canon out the window cause idgaf.

In my story, the Tyrants (specifically the T-103 models) are an odd case when it comes to reproduction. Upon initial release, they don't have the means to reproduce nor do they feel the desire because of Umbrella's control. Their mutations show that they can adapt and regenerate necessary parts of the body to keep going even if it's not perfect. Who says that the mutation can't work internally? They are always unpredictable.

X was that case. When Ed freed him from Umbrella's control back in '98, those proper biological needs were no longer suppressed but X obviously doesn't know how that really works. He didn't know what to do. Good thing Ed was there to help him in more ways than one. X's innards were adapting to a proper living environment and nature decided that since Ed has no way to provide a baby, that job fell upon X apparently. Hence a mutation of those organs developing inside of X.

Now Ed and X talked of a kid before but they genuinely didn't know how they were going to go about it. Neither of them could do it through traditional means so they needed some help. They talked among Leon and Chris which brought them to Rebecca! She basically helped Ed and X explain how a viable embryo could be made and implanted with both of their DNA spliced into it. So that way they could technically have a biological child of their own and not have it be a clone.

X had the embryo implanted into him once he went through a few tests to double check and make sure he would be alright during the whole procedure. The only downside was that no one knew how long gestation would take. Thankfully Rebecca was willing to lend a helping hand and help Ed and X through this whole thing. She basically became their personal doctor for the time being.

Now when it came to X giving birth, that was a whole different ball game. He was stressed about the fact that Ed wasn't around when he went into labour. He felt like he was stuck in one spot for hours. He felt like his insides were being torn apart. He ripped apart a lot of blankets and pillows in the process, bit through a lot of leather, and almost wanted to rip out his own insides to get Fotis out. He was used to bullets, teeth, claws, and debris alike tearing into him. The pain of giving birth was something so different and foreign that X didn't know what to do.

Once it was all over, X took the time to realize that despite the headaches and the agony of trying to bring Fotis into the world, he managed to bring in a life rather than take a life. It was a beautiful moment and X really wished that Ed was there to see it.

Ed wasn't able to actually see Fotis for the first time until a week after Fotis was born. Even though Ed was initially happy to finally have a son he can call his own, he still felt guilty for missing such an important moment. So to try to make up for it, Ed went on a "paternal leave" from the BSAA as per Chris for months before he could resume his normal duties.

Mr X at the bar is the type to only go there if there are other people he knows going. And by the time he is there, he gets his drink(one alcoholic beverage and the rest is water), pays the full tab right there and putters to the outdoor area (if applicable, furthest corner)

If you want him to dance, he'll need a couple shots for confidence. But he does the most basic and standstill type of dances to avoid bumping into people. Get him pumped up and maybe he'll swing his hips.

Doesn't stay too long. Esp if it's overcrowded for whatever reason. Overstimulation be damned. HATES IT WHEN PEOPLE ARE SCREAMING. But as soon as everyone else had their fun, he'll finally leave.

Let's just say while Ed was in Africa for (most of) the events of RE5, life found a way.

Ed was scrubbed down to the near bone once he got back to the States and received a lot of extra medical examinations to make sure he didn't bring back anything that could potentially hurt Fotis. After all, a baby Tyrant is unheard of and its immune system is unpredictable. Better safe than sorry.

Also, Ed buzzed his hair while in Africa because the heat was getting to him.
