So I think I realized that I will never trust any guy who wants to date me. If I think there’s even a remote chance that I will get invested in a relationship and for it to not work out, it’s not worth it.

And this is why I should stop dating. Because I am fighting every person who wants to get close. And I’m actually heart broken by this realization because I thought I was ready. But put a cute boy who has everything in common with me in a cabin for the night, drunk off mezcal, and I still won’t believe him when he tells me I’m pretty. I still won’t believe him when he says he wants to see me again. I still won’t believe him when he says he has a crush on me.

Because I would rather believe that every man is a liar or has alterior motives than to fall in love again.
