Reminiscing from "That One Time" in 2017
Five years ago, on a Saturday night in 2017, we were in screaming color. A crowd of 9,000. Somehow, my mom, brother, sister, and I were part of it. I remember it vividly.
It was a peculiar time. In between eras. No idea what could be next following the 2016 hiatus. But amongst this crowd were the ones sticking with Taylor thru the thick of it all. The songs screamed 1989, but her outfit hinted at a "reset." Unbeknownst to us, it was the reputation era in the making. Perhaps a change of plans from a different album that would've transpired if it weren't for those "liars and cheats" of this world. Nevertheless, this was a moment of showing unity with Taylor.
She came out to say “By coming here tonight, you’re essentially attending 100% percent of my tour dates for the year, so thank you. You’re the crowd that I’m gonna see in my most recent daydreams when I think about ‘Ooh I love being on stage’. You’re the ones I’m gonna see in my head.”
Memories from a time when Taylor visited my actual neighborhood, zip code, and literally just around the block. A temporary venue was built just for the occasion, and my entire family got a chance to attend. My siblings and I are on this pic while my mom went back for drinks to cool off. One of few pictures the three of us (as adults) are in the same picture. Special night for so many reasons. Unreal. Will never forget. A night I wished would never end. Thanks for the sweet memories.💕 ☺️
