Fantasy verse: Kou is a trickster ghost who died when he was around 15 years old, his death being the result of an attempt at stealing from a noble gone wrong. Having been a ghost for 3 years already, he has been studying his own powers during that time, slowly learning what he could do and using it to mess with the living people for fun.
my life
"Oh! You're awake! You've been out for so long-!"
they lived- accepting
“Ugh... What the hell happened and how long was I knocked out... fuck, my head hurts-” He couldn’t exactly remember what happened, and honestly he wasn’t sure if he wanted to know. All he knew for sure was that this headache was killing him. Was there any blood? He really hoped not, this was already bad enough on its own. All in all, this was going to be one hell of a day.
"Oh, I guess you weren't dead after all."
they lived- accepting
“Joke’s on you, I’m already dead-” Technically he kinda was when using his quirk, right? Well, it wasn’t like he actually bothered to check- he was as alive as someone like him could be when he came back to it, that was more than enough for him.
Stretching his arms -damn was his body feeling stiff and sore this time-, he stood up. Maybe a walk would help. At least it didn’t look like he overdid it with his quirk now.
“Thanks for asking... or something, I guess.”
"What happened to me anyways? I feel so lightheaded..."
they lived- accepting
“You passed the fuck out after pushing yourself too much, idiot.” At this point, he should be used to this- Seiichi would always overwork himself when he was sick or injured, refuse to listen to anyone telling him to take it easy and rest, and then he would pass out. It was annoying, and it worried him too fucking much.
Just how did he have to say that he cared so the fucking asshole would understand?
Well, no use getting worked up over it, not now that the moron needed someone to help him- as much as he refused to admit it. With a tired sigh, he stood up from his chair, a quick glance to Seiichi before heading for the door.
“So, how are you feeling? Do you need anything?”
Random starters: Fainting/unconscious edition
"Wake up... please wake up..."
"Hey, are you okay? You seem a bit faint..."
"N-no no! Stay with me now!"
"Keep breathing, you'll be fine."
"Oh! You're awake! You've been out for so long-!"
"I found you unconscious back there. What happened?"
"Hey, are you alright over there?!"
"We found you in a horrid state.. but we patched you up as best we could!"
"Don't try to move. Just get some rest, okay?"
"Oh, I guess you weren't dead after all."
"Hey! This one finally woke up! Get me a doctor!"
"Shh... take it easy, there's no rush. You were passed out for a long time, you see."
"Ow.. my aching-"
"Ugh... where...?"
"Help me.. someone..."
"I can't hold on... fading away.."
"What happened? Where is this-!"
"Gah! S-stay away from m-me! I don't know who you are!"
"Did.. did you save me back there? Thanks.. I guess."
"I was passed out for that long?!"
"Help me up.. please help me up..."
"What happened to me anyways? I feel so lightheaded..."
"Am I in a hospital? I wasn't here before.."
"Where is everyone? How long was I gone?!"
"Who did this?" (Spectersouled) ;3c
@spectersouled / who did this / not accepting
Hideki sat on the edge of the kitchen counter, hands in his lap, thumbs twidling. He didn’t want to be here with Kou ranting and raving about how “you’re meant to be the smart one” and continually asking “why didn’t you call us?” It’s all the typical nonsense they’d both be spewing towards Seiichi when he does something stupid. Hideki felt so hypocritical.
“ Can you pass me an ice pack? Please? ” He asked, speaking for the first time since he arrived unannounced at their door, nose bloodied, eye swollen and lip split. Seiichi had gone off somewhere, presumably to break something, Aoi followed to go calm him down, or something, and Kou was left with interrogation. One of the first things the resident ghost had said was, “I’m going to murder them,” something Hideki really does not want.
Kou asked again, “Who did this?” as he passed Hideki an icepack.
“ Look it doesn’t matter, alright? I don’t need you or Sei to fight my battles for me, I’ve been doin’ this a long time— do you really think this is my first time getting beat up? ” the anger is unjustified but, at that moment, Hideki just wanted to get patched up and move on. “ Just drop it, ok? I’ve got it sorted. ” a small lie. He would have it sorted, just, not by people he cares about.
Pressing the ice pack to his eye, the kitchen became silent.

@spectersouled / spook-tacular/ accepting!
No one likes walking alone at night, even seasoned crooks, especially when you’re tired. With Seiichi still out of it, Hideki had been opening up and locking up the cafe, meaning the trek home starts a lot later than it normally does. With his winter gear zipped up tight, he walks back through the alleyways, knowing them like the back of his scaled hands. Yet, it seemed busier this evening, bins rattling, cats yowling, all those classic horror tropes.
The thing that really look the piss was his phone, it’d been silent all day and, suddenly, a loud “ BOO! ” sent him screaming, as he jumped up and latched onto a wall, his scales quickly fading him into the background. Then he heard it, the distinctive, ghost like cackling. Checking his phone, it was a timed text from the one and only ghost, asking Hideki if he liked his new ring tone.
Sticking a middle finger in the air and waving it around, Hideki yelled at no one in particular, not being able to see the apparition, “ FUCK YOU TOO GHOSTY, YOU SON OF A BITCH! ”
@spectersouled
Realistically Hideki should’ve started fearing for his safety when Ghosty asked if he wanted to hang out, the spectre never wanted to simply hang out, there is always a catch. Last time it was just a general Halloween spook. The next time fear should’ve set in his bones was when he entered the shared apartment as Kou was being nice and that’s too nice. However, the chameleon shrugged it off.
Now, sat on the couch with a controller shoved in hands, fear sits prominent in Hidekis stomach, “ Why are you doing this to me dude? I thought we were friends. ”
“We are friends. Isn’t this what friends do?” Ok, he actually had no idea of what friends usually do- still new to this whole ‘having friends’ thing, but who cares, this was going to be fun. And fun in his book usually meant scaring the living shit out of the chameleon kid, unfortunately for him.
“Come on- this is an easy one, I beat it in no time. I’ll even help you if you’re stuck, isn’t that great?” Admittedly, any kind of horror game was usually like a walk in the park for him, the dark and grim atmosphere that terrified others barely a bother to him, but damn, was it fun to see people scream. And so he watched as the game’s intro began to play, very casual as he opened a bag of chips and started eating.
“Want some?”
@spectersouled wants to hang.
Slow day. Eh, maybe it was better this way, anyway. Admittedly, Seiichi was still recovering somewhat from that intense fight the other day. He puffed out smoke, taking a moment to wipe some of the tables. A brown eye glanced over to his friend.
“Ey, Ghosty, want somethin’ to drink?” He had been sitting there for a while now.
Tired of staring at the screen without remembering what he meant to do, he closed the laptop, stretching his arms with a yawn.
“Mh... coffee sounds good...” he was very grateful for the slow day. Everything that happened lately wasn’t really helping him sleep. And he already didn’t get that much sleep usually. All in all, it wasn’t a good combination.
Hey there! Do you like snarky, sarcastic vigilantes who meme their hearts out, but act serious af when it counts? A guy who’s loyal to people who he think deserves it? Someone who keeps hush with villain activities - save for when they involve the safety of kids ( and just has really grey morals in general lmao )?
THEN I HAVE THE MUSE FOR YOU!
Let me introduce Seiichi Kaji - aka Ether. He runs a cafe ( and boy does he love to cook ) where questionable people tend to gather at certain times of the day for information and meetups. He’s tolerant to most ( unless you start shit ) and has a soft spot for children. He may also work with a group of people who kidnap kids from abusive households and keep them safe. But watch out for when he gets angry! That Micro-Oxygen Manipulation quirk can be a real doozy when he’s pissed enough to actually use it ( and not just fuck around with people ).
Give this post a like/reblog and I’ll check your shit out!
DOSSIER // RULES // QUIRK // CAFE
"You didn't have to do that, you asshole..." sounding more tired than annoyed and sitting cross legged on the -his- new bed (and wow was this hard to get used to), Kou just kind of glared at Seiichi. It wasn't like he didn't like the idea of an actual house instead of that old warehouse, but it simply seemed too good to be true. No one should care this much about an unimportant criminal. (spectersouled)
@spectersouled
“I know I didn’t have to, you fucking dumbass.” Kou has always been so stubborn. Sometimes, it even rivaled Seiichi’s own ass. He puffed out smoke, putting a cigarette in his mouth before lighting it. “But I wasn’t about to let your stupid face live in a fucking warehouse alone. That place was a fucking dump. AND it didn’t have heat.” Did it even have running water? How the hell did Kou manage to be there for - who knows how long?
“Despite what you may think, you’e not a rat. You deserve to at least have a fucking bed, idiot.” He tossed a towel at him. “Now go take a shower and go to sleep, fuckface. If you need an extra blanket, it’s on the chair.”
//Sometimes when talking about himself, Kou talks as if he was already dead/half dead, partly because he likes to joke about being an actual ghost/undead being, partly because it actually helps to mislead people sometimes. Since no one knows how ‘ghosteye’ looks like or who he is, this means there is no actual information about his quirk, leading some people who have just heard of him to actually believe he’s a real ghost.
//While normally his typing is very messy (lots of abbreviations, lack of punctuation, etc.), when he has to communicate with a client or is hacking something to talk to someone, he makes the conscious effort to change his typing, using something more ‘formal’ (proper punctuation and capitalization, no abbreviations, etc.) just to make it harder to connect to himself. It’s another result of his paranoia.
//When he was little, Kou was very self conscious about his eyes. He knew the way they look, all white, without pupils and like a corpse’s, scared people and he hated it. Now, however, he doesn’t care anymore, and he’s more likely to laugh if anyone tries to give him shit over that.
//Kou always keeps a few spare laptops around in case he needs to do a risky job. There isn’t any kind of information or software in them, just what he needs to hack, and if something goes wrong, he just cleans all his fingerprints from it and throws it away.
