my name is Miguel O'Hara. i'm this dimension's one and only Spider-Man. at least i was. but I'm not like the others. i don't always like what I have to do. but I know I have to be the one to do it.

“ you’re hurt again. ” it’s not a question, but rather an observation. the expression on angela’s face makes it more than clear that she disapproves of miguel’s apparent lack of self-preservation, but still, she’s immediately reaching out to grab him by the arm and ushering him inside. “ what happened this time? ” not that it really matters, in the grand scheme of things — she’ll fix him up regardless.

it is appalling to miguel that even though he heals faster than an average person, she still worries about him. truly, there is no need for any of this -- he just needs some time, and then he'll be as good as new. a couple of bullets won't do much to stop his kind of super soldier, even if it still hurts and is uncomfortable to breathe, considering how closely he was shot to his lungs. talon seems to just be getting more and more skilled -- or is he getting rusty? no, no, it's not that. it may be the stress wearing him down, distracting him during fights, though. he won't share that with angela-- doesn't need her to worry even more about him.

"the same thing that always happens. i got shot. it's fine. everyone made it out, it's what matters." there's that typical snippiness in his tone, more prominent every time he comes back to base. he huffs in slight pain as he peels off his bloodied shirt, sitting on the medical bed. he knows it's no use to argue against her. besides... he enjoys spending time with her, even if he may not particularly show it. he is definitely much kinder and patient with her than he is with anyone else.

i'm always pretty inactive but it might be more evident in the upcoming days bc of work and lots of huge changes happening at work rn so i'm dealing with that bullshit

"as far as i know ... all you have been teaching these newbies is to be disrespectful. they think it's really funny ... and seem to think they're safe behind you." miguel speaks coolly, refusing to get worked up the way he constantly does with @divinehr. but the influx of younger spider people lately has been frustrating him because they are much more difficult for him to deal with, to get to understand and follow orders when needed. his intention when going to the cafeteria to finally eat hadn't been to confront her here and now, but if it's not now, who knows when it'll be?

it is... extremely odd to be asked if he's alright by the same person he's trying to capture. usually in a situation like this, the enemy taunts and mocks him, throws insults his way and definitely doesn't ask if he's okay after causing him damage. miguel's suit glitches briefly as he recovers from the brutal hit-- a hole opening ended with him getting slammed in the face with an 18 tonne truck hard enough to make him taste blood in his mouth and make his head spin. he claws his way up the side of the nearest building to create distance, tearing apart brick and cement in the process.

"you're asking me if i'm okay after throwing a truck at me???" then again... maybe he didn't do it purposely. he's not sure. he doesn't seem fully in control of his abilities. god, miguel knows what that's like. "no, i'm not okay! but you're going to be even worse once i get my hands on you, cabron!" @cxskxtsymptxm

"i already said no. you want me to say it again? in spanish maybe?" miguel turns his back towards the other, clearly wanting to be done with the conversation.

miguel’s fangs are extremely sensitive so yeah he may be constantly sucking/nibbling on things bc It Feels Good, dont judge him….

nothin’ just 1 am laying in bed thinking about miguel stalking other versions of himself throughout all dimensions. seeing most of them better off than he is. hyperfixating on this specific one with a daughter. the fucking joy he felt when that miguel got killed because he could finally step in and replace him. interacting w gabriella for the first time, being so odd and stiff because she was… a stranger to him at first. seeing himself dead and cold in that alleyway…. there’s such a horror aspect to it all and I LOVE IT!!!!

"are you going to just watch or are you going to help?" if miguel didn't have his mask currently pulled up, the other person would be able to see the distasteful scowl on his mouth, all fangs and anger. the entire area around them is torn to shreds by his claws, by him climbing and jumping around and chasing after the anomaly who keeps escaping from his grasp. he huffs and puffs, head turning towards the other. "if you're not going to help-- then get out of the way."

" i like gettin' permission before i intervene, boss man— looked like you had a handle on it ! " sorta. ( what's wrong with letting miguel get a bit of cardio in every 𝐎𝐍𝐂𝐄 in a while ? ignoring the fact that he is a brick wall of muscle, of course, 𝗈𝖿 𝖼𝗈𝗎𝗋𝗌𝖾. )

          nonetheless, if called upon, whip-web answers. from his perch, he descends; flushed web connecting to a pillar across from miguel and down he goes, straight for the anomaly. where he lacks in miguel's upper strength- he makes up in his legs, 𝗦𝗟𝗔𝗠𝗠𝗜𝗡𝗚 into the villain's back knees first and slapping two webs on either side of the being to maintain his position. all that's left is for miguel to handle the hard part; 𝗞𝗘𝗘𝗣𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗧𝗛𝗘𝗠 𝗧𝗛𝗘𝗥𝗘. " do the thing, big guy ! " the teeth thing, do the teeth thing ! " 'm gonna start losing grip soon so might want to hurry it up for me ! "

right... getting permission beforehand. because that's totally a spider-man thing to do. what's the phrase? don't ask for permission, ask for forgiveness. yeah, seems to be a thing for everyone ( or mostly everyone ) in the spider society. miguel is the same. he hasn't asked anyone for permission in a long, long time. & taking orders from someone...? he doesn't think he'd be able to do it. maybe when he was younger, working in alchemax. that was a long time ago. a different version of himself, it feels like. at least whip-web listens and helps, preventing miguel from getting more and more fed up with this situation. maybe, just maybe, he'll be able to end this job on a good note.

the teeth thing. yeah, totally, the teeth thing! he waits until the anomaly struggles to move; a giant bastard that looks more like a science experiment gone wrong than human. still has a neck, though, so when whip-web pins them with his webbing, miguel dips down on all fours like a wild animal and lunges into the creature, keeping him in place with the strength of his thighs & his claws digging into his arms. mouth opens, fangs bare in a hiss, long and sharp and dripping with paralyzing agent. they sink into the creature's neck, blood oozing from the open wounds. he doesn't swallow it, of course not-- he's not a vampire. seconds later, their target stops moving and goes completely loose like a dead body, head drooping forward and the struggling against the webs stopping. he huffs and stands up, mask materializing back over his face after he wipes the blood from his mouth. "great job. that sounds sarcastic, but it isn't. you ok?"
