Is it just me or do you think they "toned down" Shigure and made him less dark in the reboot then he is in the manga? And if they did what do you think of this change? There are a few panels I remember where he looked more sinister but they make him look more neutral/sincere? I'm thinking mainly the last episode of season 1 where his eyes don't darken like they do in the manga when gazing down on Akito in his lap. What do you think?

Like most people, I think this ‘toned down’ Shigure is here to show most fondness and love than in the original manga were everybody thought he was hating on Akito. Maybe, making Akigure love likeable than in manga? Showing their relationship less hard to get. It’s hard to tell because Shigure is Shigure, a ripple in the sea haha

Anyway, I think this change have been made by Takaya (since she work with the studio).

ok so I first thought that when Scho said Blake saved his life, I thought he was talking about the bunker part but he was really talking about the moment he was ready to give up in the river and he saw those cherry blossoms. In that moment, he was reminded of the promise he made to Blake and that he had to keep it or else he would have died for nothing. He had to reach his brother. Like if he couldn’t save Blake, he could save his brother.
