     eyes are wide as he is all too close to the stranger , he never knew the meaning of personal space , and he sure as hell wasn’t going to waste any time learning whatever it meant. He’s balanced on his feet as he’s crouched , reaching out to touch said thing he’s so curious about. 

     “  what is that? Can I have it? Can I eat it?  “  he asks , like it’s a completely normal conversation. 

WHO IS THIS GUY ? ? HE’S PRACTICALLY UP SIMON’S NOSE HE’S SO CLOSE ! Sweating bullets down his face , shaking like a leaf , Simon anxiously backed up a step for each step the stranger made forward.

“ W - WOAH WOAH , HEY ! ” It looks as if this stranger’s target was the core drill hung around Simon’s neck , also known as his GREATEST WEAPON ! Gripping his drill , Simon squeezed it tightly. “ Th - this isn’t food ! It’s more important than that ! ” . . . “ Not to say that food isn’t important , you know , but — no you can’t have this ! ”

Gently tucking a flower behind her ear , his opposite hand gently holding hers. It was a habit of his to pick whatever newly bloomed flora he saw on his walks to work every day. Part of him knew she’d be against it , unrooting the flower from it’s earthly life source , but he couldn’t help it. They reminded him so much of her. He loved being reminded of her.

“ For you , Nia. ” A warm smile followed those warm words.  “ This one’s called an amaryllis ! I’ve sort of been studying flower names and the meanings behind them. ”

    rain -   melancholy at best , introspective , severely misunderstood , pleasure in the subdued , helping in your own way , dreams in poetry , the slowness of falling asleep , refreshing meditation .

   sun -     sunbleached clothes , futures that are too bright , everything at arm’s length , balancing intensity , blind encouragement , comfort of sleep , distracting sunspots in your vision , necessity of growth .

   storm -     chaos with a purpose , emotions running high , natural comfortable anarchy , high volume , leaving your mark ,  brief flashes of violence , rambling quickly , the intensity of desire .

   wind -     running towards instead of away , instinctive motivation , making an impact , knows everyone who knows anyone , playful pranks , mood swings in a split second , collecting old trinkets , uncontrollable focus .

   snow -   serene on the surface , cold blooded heart, love it or hate it attitude , good memories , heavy discussions , sharp determination , relentless resolve , not as scary as it seems .

     oh, this is gonna be so fun

     “ehh? now, wouldn’t it be too cruel to be calling a target to let them know they’re gonna bite the dust? i got morals, kid. but yeah i was given your number. was told you had a job to give or are you getting cold feet now?”

Sigh . . Even after all the things Simon’s done and been through , he’s still very faint of heart. This mysterious caller really gave him a scare ! It really made Simon think about how lame he must look right now ( and how naive he still turned out to be after all these years ).

Per Simon’s wild imagination , he imagined the guy Rossiu hired to have a raspy and scary voice , almost monster-like. But this tone was one that you felt as if you could just keep having a normal conversation with. Wait — a normal conversation with someone with an occupation such as this ? EVEN SCARIER !

⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀“ Sorry , I’ve never done this before so — “ clearing his throat , he nervously continued on , “ yeah , the target I need is definitely still on top of the list. What’s your pay rate ? “

     What was with all this smart boy talk? But well, Cethern didn’t process a single bit of information that was said to him once he was determined on something and damn if he wasn’t determined right now. Grinning once the kid stopped rambling, the Ulster warrior crossed his arms and proudly announced, “I’m gonna throw some cereal into soup.” Horrible, terrible, disgusting. An awful idea, Cethern needs to be stopped before he commits such a terrible sin against food, but could anyone really stop him?

     “No, no, you don’t need to thank me for it. I’m pretty sure someone already has thought of it. But since you’re such a soup enthusiast, I’ll make some for you too. How about it, kid?” Run, Simon, run!

⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀“ W - Wait ! I don’t think it would be very , er . . . nourishing considering what I just said , y’know ? Speaking from experience here ! ”

Too late , the other was already dead set on the idea. And who was Simon to just outright ruin that kind of enthusiasm ? He didn’t know his diet or flavor preferences , so maybe this guy just enjoyed odd cuisines ? Oh well , whatever the case , Simon was already destined to partake in it. He stumbled on his words , stammering and trying to come up with any good excuse to not have to —

. . . REALLY ? His stomach roared loudly , giving away the fact that he skipped at least two meals worth of food today ! Clearing his throat over and over to hopefully cover up the sound , he hoped that it went unheard.
